Moonbat alert: Chomksy condemns Bin Laden kill.

so killing hundreds of children as justified then?
It's absolutely justified when they are not the tagets. If Hamas decides to launch mortars from the roof of an apartment building, and the IDF returns fire, the IDF is not responsible for the deaths of civilians which result. That responsibility according to thew Laws of War belongs to Hamas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_War
in operation castlead, there were 13 israeli deaths, three by friendly fire.
there were between 1159 and 1429 gazan deaths, of which up to half were civilian, including hundreds of children.

do you consider that a measured or reasonable response?
Canada suffered no civilian casualties at all in WWII, yet Canada and its allies killed millions of Germans, Italians, Japanese, etc civilians.

So was WWII Canada's fault?

nice dodge.
13 vs 1400 casualties.
does this look like a measured or reasonable response to you?
Yes it does, especially considering how densely populated Gaza is.

I bet you can't find an urban assault of even remotely similar magnitude that produced fewer civilian casualties. Most of that 1400 were Hamas.

BTW, there's a technical term used in military circles to describe a one hundred-to-one kill/loss ratio.

It's called "winning".

if that is meant to answer this question,
Would you include the the US military is your list of violent idiots? If not, why not?
....then this is, at very best, a politicians answer.....

what's wrong....afraid to commit?

Bikers are on my list of violent idiots. Motorcyclists have killed thousands of innocent children. For no reason other than negligence and recklessness, which makes the bikers' slaughter of innocents even more despicable.

Word on the street is that all vehicles on public roads will eventually be driverless by law making accidents, injuries and deaths a thing of the past. It's ok, you'll still be allowed to ride your bike in special zones away from the public though. Yeah there will be some crying and moaning over that some day, tough.

UNITED NATIONS, July 23 -- During the UN's July 23 debate on Responsibility to Protect, Inner City Press asked Noam Chomsky if he thought the concept of R to P applied to or had been implemented in Sri Lanka this year. No, Chomsky said, calling what happened an "atrocity."

He said the Western powers just didn't have enough interest, although something "could have been done." He analogized it to Rwanda, both the genocide in 1994 and the lead-up, including with "structural adjustment," in the 1970s. Video here, from 22:35.

Ah, good, at least he said something. Let's see if he follows through and does some "activism", like he does for Palestine.

this is your response to hundreds of dead children in gaza?
how is homosexuality relevant to this?

Did you miss the part where he reminded you that the figure of "hundreds of dead children" come from Hamas?

Source that Canada killed millions?

You need to take a timeout. This is a sick post.

sorry......you meant that as a joke, right?
i spewed a mouthful of good ale all over the keyboard.
thanks for the great lol.:D:D:D
What's a joke is your arguments against these modern politicians and lawyers. Care to add any insight as to the problems with this class of society? This is how it is done and it will remain how it is done for a long time. Whether or not you approve of the decisions made, the process is still the best possible process. Law is formed around objective harm and the findings of modern science. If you want to make the laws you have to fight for it, the people who you don't like won long ago, so you make stuff up about them like oil conspiracies and laugh about how stupid and pointless it all is. Some coping mechanism for being caught out of the herd..

ah, yes.....i seem to remember reading the same statement in the memoires of achilles' mum.
Yeah I'm not going to research Greek mythology to try and figure out what you are saying...

It's a 100% accurate post. Any party in an armed conflict has responsibilities to protect the civilians in areas it controls. When said party takes up fighting positions amongst civilians they are responsible for any civilian deaths which result, not the party which attacks them.

Did you miss the part where he reminded you that the figure of "hundreds of dead children" come from Hamas?

...which, among other things, denies the holocaust, claims the Protocols of the Elders of Zion are accurate history, and blamed the recent financial crisis on the "Jewish financial system".

Yet bikerdruid believes their numbers, go figure.

Apparently the poor little dears can't help being fascists. It's like, not their fault and stuff.
