Merged DDWFTTW in a “Real” Wind

Yep, folks, Humber is an expert at ignoring- we all knew this without the evidence, old chap.

attachment.php

It is an upwind cart, but a failed one. A free rotor turns CCW, and the wheels into the tailwind.
TAD expect that a headwind above WS can drive the cart, but not a headwind if going upwind. They have tried that, and are now busy making a "better" one according to Spork's visions.

Humber is turning into a rather boring troll. Whereas he used to post complex, detailed (mostly copied an pasted, to be sure), hysterically funny failed attempts to prove that the ddwfttw cart couldn't work, he has now resorted to repeating the same bare assertions, like a garden variety troll. The only questions remaining is whether he will ever post either his analysis of the trial data (certain to be quite amusing in its wrongness), or the cart that moves against the treadmill belt without a propeller any time before the sun becomes a red giant, rendering the earth uninhabitable.

Do you really think either of those are possible?

I used to hold out hope for the analysis submission to NALSA, but he spends too much time here to get anything done on that front.

But I don't think anyone expects the cart. That is just a lie to distract the conversation. Every time someone pins him on a point he waves his fantasy cart around and moves on. It is just a figment of his imagination that he uses to distract.

All that will come back on you, showing that you were told all about it, and how it worked, but still denied even the possibility of its existence. I am closing all the rabbit holes, so that there is but one exit. Cranks are unaware of their common behavior.

There will be no "surprise" because 'nothing of value' is both exactly what I expect from you and what will be. You've shown remarkable consistency in this regard.

JB

I solicited nothing. I was Spork's blunder to open the channel. According to some, he's a bit of a dodgy character.

I think the analysis of the NALSA data is remotely possible. I'm sure it will be more of the same old crap; The wind was off axis, the cart was tacking, they pushed it, so it doesn't count, etc.

The propless cart that moves against the treadmill I have no doubt is non-existent. If he ever presents it, it will either be a faked-up video, or will not do anything remotely resembling what he claims, but I will be very surprised if he ever does anything other than make unsubstantiated claims that he built it.

Of course, he did make one post claiming his cart tows the propeller cart, Since it is humber we're talking about, maybe the propeller cart is pushing humber's magic cart, and humber just assumed his cart was towing it.

All that will come back on you,

I have more faith in the guy on the corner preaching that the end of times is near.

showing that you were told all about it, and how it worked, but still denied even the possibility of its existence.

But it doesn't exist. We both know that. And you have never explained how it would work if it did exist. That's one more lie for the books.

Who's the rabbit in this story? You lost me.

Cranks are unaware of their common behavior.

Completely true.

No, in the process of writing it all up he will see how this is all completely out of his depth. I have tried to write about things I barely understood and it is very hard. You have to actually understand something to write coherently about it at all. He simply isn't there.

Agreed.

That would be so sweet. Especially if he doesn't notice it until after he posts the video.

How's that rabbit's foot working out for you?
There is copious data the says the cart is worst when ddw. Always.
You can argue all you like about magical energy recovery schemes, but all that is refuted by the data. None of the trumped-up force or power demands come even close to reality.

Rewind a bit: who is the rabbit again?

There is copious data the says the cart is worst when ddw. Always.

Fantastic. I can't wait to see your grand unveiling!

Math or it didn't happen.

I gave the same jumping example for the carrier experiment.

Yeah. That was hilarious. But you denied us our punchline. When you were asked how you could tell if the carrier was moving relative to the ocean (or the planet, if you prefer) you said you'd do it by jumping up and down. But when asked to clarify, you chickened out and said you'd look at the water and see if it was moving.

So come on, enquiring minds filled with hope and barely suppressed mirth want to know - how would you divine the motion of the aircraft carrier by leaping up and down?

I agree, but humber has demonstrated a remarkable capacity to write incoherently about things he doesn't understand. While I think it's very likely that his analysis will never be submitted to NALSA, I'm kind of hoping he does actually manage to do it. The reaction is likely to be either uncontrollable laughter or a gigantic, "Uh, what?'.
Agreed.
