Merged Obama Birth Certificate Released

His father was BLACK!?

Kenyan.

Remember, this BC was written in 1961. There were some different social conventions then than we have now.

In re the OP

Thank you, Mister President, even though it annoys me that this became "an issue" in the first place. You finally told the idiots to STFU. Good for you!

Now, ladies and gentlemen, can we have a bit more wheat, and a bit less chaffe, in the political discourse?

Probably not, but one can hope.

So the question now is, when did President Obama kill the real Barack Obama and take his place? Was it in earliest childhood, at the Communist madrassah in Afghanistan where he was trained to hate America? Or was it later, when he got the blessing from the Elders of Zion in Kenya while dining on the blood of white Christian babies? Or did his father Satan simply swap their brains via sorcery at the start of his political career? And is his wife one of the lizard people in disguise?

I just love your posts. May I quote you and how should I give credit?

Talk about your conspiracy theories, James Carville has suggested (most likely tongue-in-cheek) that Obama bowed to pressure from Donald Trump specifically for the purpose of making Trump look good. After all, having The Donald on the other ticket would pretty much make it a cakewalk to re-election for Obama. It's just so crazy it might work!:eye-poppi

I agree he should have allowed Birtherism to flourish. In fact he should have said things that would have egged them on. But it is a mark of the man that he would rather campaign on policy than theater.

You are assuming that it won't continue to flourish anyway.

He didn't have to lean on the state. They were willing to release it all along. He just didn't seem to think reassuring millions of Americans he was born here wasn't necessary.

Speaks volumes about the attitude towards everyday Americans.

That's not true.

Obama had to send a request to the State Director of Health asking them to set aside normal policy and allow him to get a copy of long the form.

You can see the correspondence here:

Hit the next button to see the request and response.

Prediction: pretty soon a poll will come out showing that roughly as many people as before still think he wasn't born in America

maybe because he thought that you birther nutters were not worth his effort.
You know, that does have a perverse and debased logic to it. It sort of goes like this:
"If I get the power, you are an idiot and a nutter to think that there is any way, any time, that you have a chance to take it away just because I don't deserve it, because I'm a liar, or for any other reason, such as some damn law, constitutional issue, or any other thing. Because once I've got the power, chump, you is a nutter to think it ain't mine. Got it, buddy?"
Yes, bikerdruid, we get your drift and sentiment, and understand quite well the progressive take on any of a number of matters, this being just one example.

That's just downright nuts. Your post bears no resemblance to reality in any way shape or form.

that would be all well and good, if Obama hadn't already provided all the evidence anyone should have needed that he was eligible for the presidency.
The fact that some deluded fantasists didn't understand the law or refuse to accept the constitution shouldn't be his problem.

i still find it humourous that conservatives view being 'progressive' as a bad thing.:boggled:
without progress, we would be communicating with drums and smoke signals.

Are you kidding? Drums and smoke signals were progressive advances in their day as well!

Ah for the good old days of hunting/gathering and might makes right--that's what a true conservative longs for!
;)

To be fair, I don't think they mean the term literally when they say "progressive", they are referring to whatever subgroup in American politics likes to refer to themselves as "progressive".

When we say "Democrat" or "Republican" we are hardly referring to ideologies competing over whether to have a direct or representative democracy.
