Are most homosexuals atheists?

even if Homosexuality would be a sin, so what? Jesus died for our sins, so his dad should get a grip already, really.

I doubt that is the conclusion the pastor wanted you to come to. What makes you think there will sex of any kind given the mainstream Christian doctrines on heaven?

Yes I am aware of this. And Christians acknowledge it as a sin when they do it. But premarital sex is not who they are or a type of sexual orientation. Being homosexual is, according to some, something you are born with. So that is just who that person is. So basically by being homosexual and being Christian, you are saying that who you are as a person is wrong. The way fod created you is wrong. Did the distinction make sense at all??

More consistent with that interpretation that homosexual behaviour isn't allowed in heaven (instead of while they are alive) is that there would be a lot of frustrated homosexuals there instead of them being straight, as there's nothing in the set-up about conversion therapies. Although if human attempts at that and god's attempts at that after prayer are anything to go by, there'd still be a lot of frustrated homosexuals in heaven.

I have indeed witnessed that behavior in women as well. In fact, among high school and college age girls, the behavior you described is pretty common.

Yes I somewhat acknowledged this in the opening post. I am going to talk about Christianity specifically though because I am not familiar enough with the other religions to speak intelligently about their specific writings.

Your sexuality (gay or straight) is part of who you are, and your desire to act on your arousal before marriage is also part of who you are.

And how do you know Christians acknowledge it as a sin?

Pre marital sex? Are you attempting to be blatantly ignorant to prove a point? It is general knowledge that in the Christian church premarital sex is a sin.

Yes, another good point. I guess another good question would be how do homosexuals go about interpreting the parts in the bible that state homosexuality is wrong and punishable by death, etc.

i know very few queer atheists.

i have also met more christian queers that atheist queers.
in answer to your question...no.
most queers are not atheists.
