Holy crap! Is this thing really still going on?!?!?!? Has there been any actual evid...

No, never mind. If there had been, the world would have imploded by now.

Carry on.

It's oo. Our language is an old one,yr hen iaith was around long before you lot were running around in Davy Crockett hats. :)

[nitpick] Well, there were native Americans here since God-knows-when, Europeans first visited the site of what would become San Antonio in 1619, and the city was founded in 1718. Maybe it doesn't quite measure up to sometime BCE, or 600 or 900 or whenever your place was settled, but there was stuff going on here long before Jim Bowie and Davie Crockett. [/nitpick]

:D

[further nitpick] While our language, American, may have been perfected comparatively recently y'all, it's actually closely related to a much older language. This language, called "English," became distinct from its Germanic forebear at roughly the same time that Welsh became distinct from the British language. The earliest Old English and Old Welsh texts seem to be from around the same time as well. [/further nitpick]

Whyever is this not in Forum Community section of the site...

I'm asking this here as a question, as it seems there is no obligation for mods to reply in the Complaints sub-forum, but there is in this one.

The "Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth." thread was temporarily closed on 12 July:

Could we have an update on the deliberations regarding this thread, and some idea of when a decision might be reached? Any reason why the thread should not be moved to Forum Community, which would avoid most of the problems, as already suggested in the other FM thread?

Question 1: Yes.
Question 2: The thread was originally started in the wrong section and was moved to the correct section, it is not a "Forum Community" topic so it will not be moved to Forum Community.

____

General Comment: If a thread annoys you to such an extent that you can't help but breach your Membership Agreements I would suggest you use the ignore feature which allows you to select a single thread to ignore, that way you will not find yourself subject to further moderation action.

___

Comments on the thread in question: The thread will be reopened tomorrow morning Monday am BST, there will some pruning of the thread and then it will be left open with yet another warning. Because of the time taken to decide what should be done with the thread no further action will be taken against the many Members that breached their Membership Agreement after the last warning; since there is now no further discussion from the Mod Team side any future moderation action can and will be taken a lot quicker.

I'd just like to opinionate that the Pharoah's Star Wars parody is a little gem, and it's a damn shame that 90% of the world isn't allowed to see it.

So, is this thread finally coming to an end? It's a shame really, because nothing has been proven one way or the other. We are no wiser to whether the gospelers were writing the truth.

Using Occam's Razor, one can only assume one decision. The bloody gospelers certainly were not writing the truth. They either deliberately wrote B/S, or were that deluded, that even Mary Poppins would have made sense to them.

Well, the copyright holder for the Star Wars theme is SME (Sony Music Entertainment). They aren't notorious for their generosity, but they gave me a pass on it with the following exceptions:

If there's a pattern here, it's as obscure to me as DOC's list of tsunami targets.

That make absolutely no sense. The video is allowed in France Mainland, but not France Territory (French Guiana, French Polynesia) and not in Germany.

I really need to install a proxy to get youtube as if I was in the USA...

Well, if it continues to follow the pattern, doc will show up and say something that has been shown a thousand times to be untrue and/or make no sense.

But I agree it would be kinder to let the poor thing die a quiet death.

(The thread, not doc.)

Let's test DOC's Christian honesty one more time.

DOC, would you agree that much evidence has been posted in this thread that the NT writers were NOT telling the truth?

I respectfully disagree sir.

The numerous differences between the gospels that have been highlighted during this threads long and painful life are proof, not evidence, absolute proof that they couldn't have been telling the truth.

That's just one example. There are literally hundreds more in this thread, it's just that DOC chooses to ignore them.

No DOC, I'm not going to trawl this thread to give post numbers to the 100's (possibly 1000's) of posts that have pissed on your poor excuses for evidence and you've completely ignored, find them yourself. Or you could try answering this one; What were jesus' last words before he 'gave up the ghost'?

He's a bit busy at the moment, explaining why he's supporting Donald Trump's tilt at the US Presidency.

His hair could be the sign of a genius, look at Einstein's wild haircut.

Try to act surprised. I bet you can't
