You watched the video where the tacking yacht morphs by stages into a propeller, didn't you? Which stage was wrong?
You are joking, right?

It's nonsense. Silly.
I am absolutely not joking. I want to know which part of that animation you thought was wrong, and why.You are joking, right?
The shoe is on the other foot, so there is no room for your nescience.
Answer to the electrical model. That has support other than your opinion.
Or are you now going to turn on your own expert, and add him to Spork's lengthy roll call of idiots?
You are going to swallow that upwind farce, whole, aren't you?
The peak speed of the cart is 28mph,
but the average without the push is 8.5mph. Less than WS. Carteers do not see the significance of that.
No. You're still not paying attention.
The wind pushes the prop.
The prop pushes the cart.
The cart moves over the ground.
The ground turns the wheels.
The wheels turn the prop.
The power does not come from the wheels turning the prop. The turning is only required for the prop blade faces to present a bearing surface to the wind which is always travelling slower than the wind.
Admirable humility that sets him apart from wannabe-skeptics who try to debunk stuff they are clueless about. He[Randi] and I actually have traded a few emails, but he said something to the effect of "I'm not an engineer"
Therefore the wind must be regularly gusting at > 28mph ? Except ...?
You already made an idiot of yourself with this 'retained push speed' concept when we were discussing my car's fuel consumption. The point is that the initial push speed would be rapidly lost if the cart were pushed up to that speed in still air. The cart cannot 'retain' that speed in a real world that experiences friction. You simply cannot just deduct it from the max speed the way you do. Asinine isn't strong enough a word. Imbecilic might be more appropriate
For example, find a reference that says wind direction may be defined by the mean of the readings over 10 seconds.
The hub, root, and all other parts of the prop, move in the same direction as the cart.
Slowly Jack. Don't you see the problem here? He actually believes that the velocity of all points on a rotating object has the same direction. You watched the video where the tacking yacht morphs by stages into a propeller, didn't you? Which stage was wrong?
humber said:Does the distance between the tip and the hub change? No. So the tip travels at the speed of the cart.

Cogent analysis and convincing argument. Bravo. You are joking, right?
NALSA's rule book.
Now you find a reference that says wind direction may be defined by the RMS value of induced wind vane oscillation.
Cogent analysis and convincing argument. Bravo.
Agreed
Scared to, eh?I did not watch it.
Scared to, eh?
Here it is. 57 seconds long. But too threatening, eh?I don't want to see any Ben Stiller movies either.
Anything else?
Spork will not be back with an answer about the filtering. I wonder why that is.

Sometimes cranks can be too obvious. Unfortunately, I'm out of troll food for the moment. So do carry on.Sometimes avatars can be too ironic.
