Protests in Wisconsin - Scott Walker

Do you think that all of the people you dub "right wingers" attend daily meetings together and engage in groupthink?

I am not at all convinced that rightwing political dogma involves thought at all. Emotions, more likely. The kind that reside in the reptilian brain.

Oh, I am convinced about how much you can think.

I guess we have to leave it up to the market which of us is worth more.

We both know who wins.

I did answer that. You just don't want to discuss the answer because it doesn't accept that the evidence supports your conclusion. You want to debate the evidence but the evidence isn't the issue, the conclusion isn't supported by the evidence.

Your link makes unsupported assertions. That makes it full of lies regardless if any facts included in the link are true or not.

Should I take it you don't understand the matters of fact here?

A single award winning teacher being laid off ignores a whole slew of benefits and drawbacks about the seniority system and purports to use one anecdote as "proof" unions are worse than no unions. That is ludicrous.

The same thing applies to your retirement anecdote. You think using some single anecdote gives one the entire picture of unions and their negotiated retirement benefits.

Does the concept of looking at wider measures of benefits and drawbacks register with you? Are you aware that propaganda techniques include exactly what you've based your conclusions on, looking at little snippets to convince people of certain conditions while ignoring the issue in its entirely?

85,000 plus on the Square today... sorry I missed it. Was anybody from JREF there?

I'll be up in Madison for a couple days week after next. And looking forward to it :D

Are you going to pretend you are sick on the taxpayer's dime when you are there?

I'll probably make $3500-$4000 today.

Shut up and go mop the incontinence aisle before you get fired.

Claiming a true fact falsely supports a conclusion is still a falsehood.
My conclusion is that there are problems in the bargaining system that need to be reformed. The links are examples.
Obviously, you disagree with my conclusion. However, you don't get to wave your hand and declare it false.

I asked you IF those were your beliefs. I didn't say they WERE your beliefs.
Oh no. Despite the cleverly placed question marks, those were statements. Statements designed to influence the reader into believing certain things about those who disagree with you.

When you look at the world in these oversimplified bits of information, you are so easily manipulated by those who are benefitting here, and that is in this case, the rich and the powerful.
You forgot to work in the word "sheeple".

I did answer that.

No you didn't. You were spinning and spinning with vagueness, none of it addressed to me. You said the link makes unsupported assertions. Well that's false. The facts cited were supported by specific sources and Reginald Hobbes provided even more support. Now you are trying to label the conclusions a lie. No, they are not lies. They are conclusions based on specific sourced evidence. It's a difference of opinion, that's all, not a lie. And we all know that you have a different opinion from many of us.

Shapeshifting reptiles?
could be. If they exist, Walker is likely one of them.

He came in promising to "fix" the budget, and put the state more in the hole so that he could do the main thing he came in to do, which is to destroy the unions.

He breaks things like a tweaker and then wants to be congratulated for "fixing" them.

That seems to be about all Republicons do any more, so why let them govern?

What is it about "evidence does not support the conclusion" that you don't get?

Because only protestors would vote to recall Walker......

They can try to recall Walker...but they can't do it anytime soon.

As the Soup Nazi would say, "No recall for you! Come back...1 YEAR!"

They can try to recall Walker...but they can't do it anytime soon.

In the meantime, they can recall the legislators who are the most egregious nutbars.

The whackadoodles usually win in off-term elections because nobody gives a rat's.

They do this time.
