Breaking News :Unanimous SCOTUS Decision

They represent what a few people with entirely too much money want. (Which is usually a better chance to seral labor and natural resources.) I will point out again that those fat slobs may not even be US citizens and thus have no inherent right to influence our politics.

Unions represent hundreds of working-class people who would have no voice on the airwaves alone.

So you have entirely too much money? Because, you realize of course, that if you have any sort of retirement savings or pension, it is 99.9999999% certain you are a corporate shareholder. Kind of funny how that works out, isn't it?

I don't have a thing in the market. Army, VA and, in a year or two, Social Security.

And, basicly, the banksters controlling the money that is invested through pension funds are using that money to screw over the workers whose interests they are supposed to be protecting.

What good is having a pension fund available if you lose it all when the company goes bankrupt and the bankruptcy court allows them to default on the pension?

One more reason not to let the banksters get their grubby hooks into Social Security.

It hasn't worked at all well for Chile.

Just out of curiosity, how much income or wealth is a person allowed to have before they become "slime"?

It's not how much they make, but what they do to get it and what they do with it. If they get it by usury and invest the profits off-shore to compete with our workers, I have no use for them. If they harm their workers like that thug Don Blankenship, I think they need to be punished severely. (The widows and orphans of ther men he murdered should own Massey Coal and all its assets and Blankenship's.)

I have no major problem with Gates or Buffet. The Koch brothers are a detriment to human life.

How's that 401(k) thing working out these days, after the banksters pulled their shell game on the working class? I know my son's plan turned to crap about two years ago.

Mine is back above what it was before the crash. That's actual growth, not including continuing contributions. Did your son invest in nothing but AIG or something?

Great. Thanks for asking. Although, technically I have a SEP. But same difference.

I picked up some additional bank stocks the last couple years. They were on sale.

But, you see, Unions have a democratically elected Board which carries out the wishes of the the members who have paid their dues...

And they negotiate on behalf even of the slackers who have not paid their dues. Non-union people are getting a lot of benefits won by the toil and tears, even the blood, of unions and not giving back a thing, maybe even talking smack about unions like spoiled brats.

... while Corporations only have an elected Board which carries out the wishes of the money-grubbing Stockholders...

In proportion to how much money thosoe stock holders have invested. The richer you are, the more say you have in the corporation and, if the corporation has any infkluence, your greater investment gives you more say in the operations of government than has a working schlub with a few dollars worth of his pension fund in the corporation.

Don't even tell me that there is anything right about that.

We hould all be like lefty, leeching off the working people in society.

You see, he broke his arm 20 years ago and that has rendered him helpless to do anything except spew hatred on the internet.

If you know of corporations making money by usury, get in touch with a lawyer immediately. I'm sure you could make some money on a class-action suit for violation of usury laws. But of course, you don't actually have any evidence, it's just a slur you like to toss around.

and invest the profits off-shore

Ah, so you're a xenophobe, too. Good to know.

to compete with our workers,

Wouldn't want to make people have to compete. Heaven forfend!

I have no use for them.

I'm sure that "they" are all choked up about that.

Why didn't that happen?

I have no major problem with Gates or Buffet.

That's mighty white of you. I take it you've scrutinized their portfolios to make sure they don't hold any foreign investments, right? Certainly Microsoft wouldn't have any foreign subsidiaries.

The Koch brothers are a detriment to human life.

Ah, don't change, lefty. If you didn't exist, Rush Limbaugh would have to invent you!

Did the government have something to do with that.
