Watching him rather than reading soundbites has given me some compassion for the geezer. Although I'm sure that makes me less 'radical' than he would wish, I can see that he is someone who is in deep, deep denial about his problems. His statements are palpably not the statements of a rational person, and working with alcoholics/drug addicts every day at work I see shades of them in him. Would like to hear from some mental health experts on the subject.
