You know the deal. And you know to put them here.

@TruthersAreRetarded

Oh yeah! I'm like totally obsessed with JREF, that I purchase all the JREF merchandise like a teenage girl collecting Hannah Montana merchandise and I've got so many donated sock accounts that I've ********* of 2GB pen drives and Pigasus Pins. lol

I'm so obsessed that I also applied for a JREF Credit Card because debt is criticial thinking. lol

But I probably wont get one as I don't earn money enough flipping burgers! hahahahaha!!

Well I am going to jump on this one from saggy in a Nuremberg trial thread.

Saggy was asked to explain what he meant by the word "holohoax" and provide a source for his use of it. He was attempting to redefine a word that describes deniers of the holocaust to be one that describes the holocaust as a hoax.

For the record, I am careful to use the word holohoax in complete conformity with the definition.

From wiki ..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holohoax

Def: holohoax -
1. the massive and well orchestrated campaign by organized Jewry to convince the world that the Nazis attempted to exterminate the European Jews , antecedents can be traced back to Zionist sources in the early 1900s, the campaign in its current form got into full swing during WWII. snip...

When the link failed to reveal the definition we learned the following.

I submitted the definition myself, and assumed that had been incorporated into the article. Check back in a few days, it should be appearing soon.

Complete conformity indeed!

Sorry, nom'd by me last month, shortly after the post was made.

One notes, however, that Sagg's "definition" is still not there.

Good. You don't want A coming looking for you any more than Travis does.

That's a hint, pensive boy (inside joke)
.

Oh. I thought perhaps Pensive Boy was Ruminative Man's superhero sidekick.

Don't worry. I'm still working on the finals but that one will surely make it.

That's the Dread Pirate Contemplative to *you*.

It's kind of an hereditary title, and Travis is next in line, but since I plan on living forever he's pretty much SOL muahahahahahaha. BTW, know any virgins? I'm almost out of blood for the potion...

I've always thought how proud Stundie must be to have this respected, time-honored contest named after him.

From an antivax-thread on a Belgian Forum (http://forum.politics.be/showpost.php?p=5273748&postcount=24):

U beseft hopelijk dat er door toedoen van dokters het meeste aantal mensen sterven? Volgens statistieken heeft u 1000x meer kans te sterven in een hospitaal, dan gedood te worden door een meteoriet, en daaronder staat de alternatieve geneeskunde met 0,001%. (bij wijze van spreken, ik weet de juiste cijfers niet uit hoofd, kan het wel even opzoeken)

My translation:

I hope you know that most people die because of doctors. According to statistics you have 1000x more probability to die in an hospital, than being killed by a meteorite, and in that alternative medicine stands with 0.001% (by way of talking, I don't know the exact figures by heart, but can look them up)

Crap I hope your translation is wrong, because otherwise that guy just may be an idiot.

The translation is correct (alas).

The meaning of the part translated as "and in that alternative medicine stands with 0.001%" is unclear in the original Dutch post.
I think he wants to say that alternative medicine only accounts for 0.001% of the deaths caused by medicine in general.

I think he means that the deaths caused by alternative medicine are less than those cause by 'normal' medicine. The 0.001% is probably supposed to be the people who died by alternative medicine.

And...ouch!

Not unreasonable. You put off real treatment of a curable condition via alternative medicine, until you're so bad off that people concerned for you force you to go to the hospital, where you die.
Then you get to be a statistic showing how awful real medicine is. Win-win.

That's pretty much how a belief in homeopathy killed my grandfather. He got talked into seeing a conventional doctor just before the end, so obviously he died because of conventional medicine and not homeopathy.
