Very well said! This is one of the reasons why I have so much respect for the JREF-forum. Here, you can find real arguments and real facts, not just personal attacks.

Worked with a guy who'd got a "general discharge" from the Marines, after two sessions in the brig.
Not a nice guy at all.
Our boss once commented that he'd never seen anyone so "universally despised" !!!
Yes, on Page 1.I haven't read the whole thread as yet (just page 1) but has someone made the link to Charlie Sheen going back into rehab?

I wonder if there's anything beyond circumstantial evidence. This will bear watching.

Certainly not that he was selling heroin directly to a cop.
That would be crazy
Oh wait

Of course, the possibility of an outspoken enemy of the secret government being framed, railroaded and effectively silenced by the police is out of the question.
That just wouldn't make sense.
Oh wait.

You'd think if there was merit to that argument, Alex Jones and his media empire would be all over it.
But he isn't. I think of all the ways you could frame someone, this is the stupidest. I guarantee they have video/audio recording of the sale, plus multiple witnesses, PLUS the other guy that was arrested with him.
I mean, I understand what you're saying, but this seems like the stupidest way to frame someone these days.

A growing number people think Alex and his media empire are actually CIA tools ala Wikileaks. I was responding to the article posted, which didn't go into that kind of detail (unless notscripts screened something out); when there's not enough data to reach a conclusion either way, suspicion of authority is my default stance in the post 911 world.

Korey Rowe was honorably discharged from the US Army after doing a tour in Iraq. He disagreed with the war and policies that were forced upon his unit. 85% of PTSD sufferers use drugs/alcohol to repress and escape. Anyone with an idea of how powerfully addictive Heroin is, knows one can slip into this "situation" very easily. Do Not Judge This Man!!! His work on "loose change" is brilliant.
PTSD? Rowe? Cawmawn!!Here's a quote from: http://thedailystar.com/breakingnews/x1514638222/Loose-Change-filmmaker-arrested
I'll judge him, guilty! Yeah it's brilliant in a way that stupid people can understand.
What were you doing in Afghanistan?
My primary MOS [military occupational specialty] was 11 Bravo, which is infantry, frontline infantry. I was carrying a gun, humping a lot of weight on my back. That was what I did in Afghanistan full time. I was at the Kandahar airfield, Bagram, and Khost. But in Afghanistan I really didn’t do much. I was there for six months, pulled a lot of guard; I went on, I think, three missions. Never got any enemy contact, never got fired on, I watched it on my perimeter, a couple hundred meters out while someone else was getting shot at, but I never really got any action. And in Iraq?
In Iraq I went from the southern tip all the way into Baghdad. I road in the back of a truck from the southern tip, through the desert into Al-Hillah, took the battle of Al-Hillah, which was pretty crazy; it looked like a Vietnam movie. Then we moved further north into Baghdad, where we were in Medical City. I was stationed in an emergency room door for about a month and a half just watching these bodies of children and their families come in. Then I moved north into Mosul, swung west into Sinjar, on the Syrian-Turkey border where we had to watch for insurgents coming across the border.
No need.I haven't read the whole thread as yet (just page 1) but has someone made the link to Charlie Sheen going back into rehab?
I am getting fun imagining Popeye Doyle busting this guy.....
I have to agree (excluding waterboarding known and admitted terrorist scumbags).
I have a relative that was arrested for selling cocaine. Now, if you didn't have intimate knowledge of the case, you'd think my relative was a scumbag too. Turns out, a friend of his asked him for a ride (about 40 miles) and asked if they could make a quick stop about halfway through. So at the stop, the friend proceeded to sell an undercover cop an undisclosed amount of cocaine. My relative was arrested along with the friend. Even though his friend told the investigators from the first day that my relative had nothing to do with the crime (aside from giving his friend a lift) it took almost 9 months to clear his name. His bail was A LOT more than Korey's.
As much as I'd love to jump in the bash-fest (oh it looks fun lol), I don't want to eat crow if facts come out that Korey was in a similar situation (god I hope he's guilty).
Carry on, have fun!
ETA: This was in NY (state law) as well.
shes like heroin to me, shes like heroin to me, shes like heroin to me, she can not, miss a vein.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/01/31/conspiracy-film-producer-arrested-drug-charges/?test=latestnews
Sorry for the repeat -- just saw the earlier post
OK...but I don't think that answers why bond is 2x as much as cash.
It incentivizes (did I really just use that word?) the bondsman to catch those who skip out on bond.
