That sounds more like they were joking to me than anything, though I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if they were serious.
*head explodes*Lets see how some people in this thread wrap their head around this one ...
I was born in El Paso, TX yet I have a Rhode Island Birth Certificate.

*head explodes*![]()
If you had to be born in RI to hold an office there, would your BC be sufficient proof?
Would you swear under oath under penalty of perjury that you were born in RI?
How could you prove that you were born in TX?
I imagine you're asking Alareth? If you had to be born in RI to hold an office there, would your BC be sufficient proof?
Would you swear under oath under penalty of perjury that you were born in RI?
How could you prove that you were born in TX?
Wow, way to give away the punchline to my rhetorical question >:[
Am I right to understand that this Rhode Island-issued birth certificate gives El Paso as the birthplace?![]()
.... "HONOLULU – Five Hawaii Democratic representatives want to pass a law making President Barack Obama's birth records public and charge $100 to see them......"

So there!
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.sh...categorized/2008/06/13/bobirthcertificate.jpgBut regardless I imagine the birth certificate would establish your place of birth regardless of the state it was issued in and that alone would be enough proof.
Huh?

Yes...^ And the irony of your statement is killing me.![]()
As a sign of how bone-stupid these bills are, the Texas one, as written, would prevent anyone from ever being certified as as a presidential candidate in that state.
if Obama was a conservative Republican, his ancestry and religion would NOT be in doubt.
Yes, under these conditions:
A state official swears under oath and subject to perjury that CoLB was born in the state as printed on the computer form.
Hell what gets to me is trying to explain to people that President Obama (I love writing that to them) can't even request the release of the original, because in the eyes of the state he is no better than the janitor that requests a birth document. They are all equal and the state gives out one type, and that is all anyone gets.actually STATE officials can do nothing of the sort (PRIVACY LAWS!! how many times must this be told to you!?)
what Fukino did was actually beyond her position at the Department of Health. She was trying to field questions and she answered it based on what she saw. She actually violated privacy laws to do so.
I don't have to wonder what you're trying to do with that dialect.VUD? Vus u dere?
Wait I just realized you simply copy and pasted my quote and added a "huh" to the end. Why the confusion? But regardless I imagine the birth certificate would establish your place of birth regardless of the state it was issued in and that alone would be enough proof.
Huh?

That all other Constitutional requirements for office also be attested to under oath and subject to perjury by the Party leader.
