That sounds more like they were joking to me than anything, though I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if they were serious.

I imagine you're asking Alareth? ;) But regardless I imagine the birth certificate would establish your place of birth regardless of the state it was issued in and that alone would be enough proof.

and it violates the Full Faith and Credit Clause in the US Constitution. That bill will be struck down .02 seconds if it passes as being unconstitutional.

It will not make it past arguments and fail miserably

What birthers need to realize is all these "birther" bills are nothing more than "Here you go, we did this, it didn't pass. sorry ,we tried" moves.

actually STATE officials can do nothing of the sort (PRIVACY LAWS!! how many times must this be told to you!?)

what Fukino did was actually beyond her position at the Department of Health. She was trying to field questions and she answered it based on what she saw. She actually violated privacy laws to do so.

Hell what gets to me is trying to explain to people that President Obama (I love writing that to them) can't even request the release of the original, because in the eyes of the state he is no better than the janitor that requests a birth document. They are all equal and the state gives out one type, and that is all anyone gets.

I would think it would be an exercise in equal under the law and state's rights to those people.

Wait I just realized you simply copy and pasted my quote and added a "huh" to the end. Why the confusion?

To give you a more substantive answer to your question if I was born in Texas but had a Birth Certificate issued by Rhode Island the certificate would establish that I was born in Texas (because birth certificates show city and state of birth). So if it was required that I be born in Rhode Island to run for office IN Rhode Island the birth certificate would clearly show I was born in Texas and therefor not qualified to run for Rhode Island office. Got it?

That all other Constitutional requirements for office also be attested to under oath and subject to perjury by the Party leader.

I'm still waiting to hear why him mom would have been anywhere other than the US when he was born. Then I want to know why she would conspire to make it look like he was born there way back then.
