So that's it? The court is going to wait for the report on the forensics before addressing anything else in the appeals? Does this mean the court won't be in session again until May 21th?

I would think the court will schedule a hearing to hear the homeless drug dealer who has a tidy little sideline of lying for the prosecution in murder cases.
In the meantime Curatolo would want to be very careful as to who has access to the heroin he is injecting into his veins, some powerful people don't want him asked some awkward questions

He lies for money or favours without worrying to much about the consequences for other peoples lives, when he comes under pressure he might just as easily tell why he lied

If a perpetrator needed to bring light to just inside Meredith's door, why would he unplug Amanda's lamp and bring it into Meredith's room where they then need to find an outlet and unplug Meredith's computer to plug it in. They would instead just grab the lamp, turn it on and walk into Meredith's room with it*.

The only reasonable explanation for the state we find it in is that the person borrowing the lamp either didn't want to leave the extension cord draped across the hallway (ie: Meredith using it 1 or 2 nights earlier) or they needed to minimally disturb the evidence* (ie: early police on the scene needing more light).

(* See for evidence the extension cord which was plugged into Amanda's outlet by her door with the other end behind the box next to her desk)

Yes, I agree. The other connection here is the location of Meredith's lamp according to Dr. Stefanoni. There are also 2 sockets above Meredith's bed and close to her dresser beside the bed that if she was borrowing the lamp without the extension cord, would have been the ideal place to plug it in. My opinion at this point is to give the possibility of Meredith borrowing the lamp a low probability.

It seems that Curatolo was discussed today as well

Gosh Google translate sucks, but as far as I can figure from this article Curatolo, two disco owners, an event organizer, and two shuttle service people will testify on March 12. On March 26 and April 16 four other witnesses will be heard.

Is this about right?

Umbria Courier

This one gives the next few hearing dates and talks about the handle of the knife as well. It appears the prosecution is not pleased by this.

I believe it was halides1 who asked about the handle on this quite a while ago.

RoseMontague,

Yes it was. Here is the story written by Bertoldi:

Curatolo will be testifying again, at the request of the prosecution, in order to counter the defense's new witnesses. (!) (Can they really be serious?)

Next hearings: March 12, March 26 (Sollecito's birthday, IIRC), April 16, and May 21. (Expert findings to be submitted on May 9.)

What on Earth is Curatolo supposed to say to help the prosecution? Presumably they'll be coaching him heavily to say he got mixed up with the city buses (which look nothing like the disco buses).

I hope the defence is ready to seriously grill this creep on the stand this time.

What I'm fearing the most is another defence screwup. According to some they were way too easy on him the last time. This really needs to be played right.

Why is it perfectly understandable for AK and RS to be confused and "misremember" stuff but it's not acceptable for anyone else in this case to do the same?

Because Curatolo is a witness not a defendant. A witness with very serious question marks over his testimony, credibility, and reasons for testifying. A serial witness whose testimony in other trials, I understand, has been discredited by the appeal court.

Hi Alt+F4, there's some - although slight - possibility Curatolo is confused and misremembering. There's quite a possibility Nara is confused by her overblown imagination. As for e.g. Stefanoni's confusion about the tests she made - I would say it's much more probable she's lying. The same with Quintavalle - I don't believe that scum is confused at all.
