Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

Soo... if people are willing to die for a thing, wrote about the thing, it became the best selling book in the world about the thing, and thousands of years later billions of people knew about the thing, that's proof enough for you that that thing was real?
Strawman, I didn't say that.

Why don't you and others need to see proof of life from non-life to believe it?

Well, for starters, because it's not the topic of this thread.

Neither am I but that doesn't keep people from making hundreds of posts about me.

And if someone says they need proof for certain beliefs related to the topic then I have the right to ask why they don't need proof for their other beliefs. If they can't answer that question then I have shown there is a double standard.

If some of your friends were willing to die for your claim, and some those friends also wrote the greatest selling book in history about your machine, and 2000 years from now there was 2 billion people who were still involved with the machine, I would consider there might be something to it.
ok.
So, can I assume you'll become Muslim now?

Marxism and the Communist Manifesto.
Maoism and the Little Red Book.
Nazism and Mein Kampf.
All claims with bestsellers, with contemporary martyrs and still people involved with it. At least we know of those books who wrote them.

Religion is opiate for the people.

Just because you fail to understand the evidence provided in the second case, does not mean it does not exist.

Now, care to provide answers to the various questions posed? You know, the ones you promised to answer in "ten days"? If you can't answer those questions...

The title of this thread--the title YOU gave it--is "EVIDENCE for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth." Demanding the evidence that you have promised or demanding evidence for elements of the "evidence" you have provided is hardly a radical action. Bringing up proof for life from non-life is simply off-topic.

This is the more important half of my previous post.

Doc. Let's say I got a concrete bunker with a locked door. No windows, no way in or out other than that door. In that bunker is a table. Let's say I leave the table with nothing on it. Then I lock the door, and then I spend a few thousand years telling people that there's an apple on the table in the bunker. Let's say they all believe me without question. Now, I return to the bunker and open the door. Will I find an apple on the table?

Ignoring for a second that this is off-topic gibberish, what does A Tale of Two Cities have to do with people dying for their friends' claims, and machines, and so on and so forth?

Look, I've already told you once. I'm not allowed to argue with you 'til you've paid.

Another no-evidence post.

Provide a list of these hundreds of posts where people are talking about you.

Only if you start an 'Evidence for why we know the Theory of Abiogenesis writers told the truth' thread and ask the question there.

If they can't answer that question then I have shown there is a double standard.

Give it a shot then, DOC. You coudn't possibly do any worse than you've done with providing evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

Doc, your book contains stories that violate the natural laws. You're going to have to do a lot better than this that coming up with evidence. Also not to derail a thread here but you should really read up on the Theory of Abiogenesis. It would explain some things you clearly don't understand.

I've already responded to the one I said I would respond to in 10 days.

I've already studied the above and chose Christianity as the one making the most sense. And you can include Islam, Mormonism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Atheism, and Scientology with the ones you listed; I've studied them also.

Well, here is 8 from the last 3 or 4 pages, so you do the math in this 441 page thread.

It's just possible that Doc's decided that we're hopeless and left us to our fate. Maybe the Rapture thingy happened and he's in Heaven.

DOC's probably taking an extended "research" vacation trying to think of new fallacies to use. ;)

Either that, or he's sticking to the 12 Days of Christmas Tradition (I wonder if he knows that was ripped off from Pagans too).

GB

Has anybody seen DOC's signature?

Perhaps s/he doesn't exist?

It would explain quite a bit. I wonder if DOC's ever taken part in a Turing Test?

Of course he has, he got an "A" in a Logic Class™ from Unnamed University!

Maybe he's a serial zombie.

Respectfully, I believe his claim was that logic was a portion or chapter of a course in philosophy that he aced. My google-fu can't find it just now.

Hooray for Harry Potter!

30 to1 against DOC catching the drift...
(did I get the odds the right way 'round?)

When did you finish reading the Bible?

How long did it take you to read the Koran?

Did you read Mein Kampf in English or German?
