I get that! I don't like the metaphor. I don't think it has a place. I never said it was Palin's fault. I said the image is wrong, and I stand by that.

Making targets of people by using metaphorical targets is wrong. It's over the top rhetoric, out of place hyperbole. It's wrong.

Good point. I am not a mental health professional, so I hereby retract my earlier assertion that I thought, based upon the Youtube video, that the "shooter" (supposedly the same person as that who authored the video), was mentally unstable.

And congratulations to you, because that automatically means that all the politically-oriented speculation performed on this thread, along with the non-evidence-based finger pointing, is perfectly justified. Thank you for allowing me to see the light.

I see that now that you've been called on it, you're moderating it by saying some on "The Left". Your accusations of hypocrisy would have borne more weight had you done that from the start.

And for the record, I also blame, solely, Jared Lee Loughner. And I have ever since my very first post in this thread, when I was suspicious about it being a political assassination targeted on a specific person, and thought it seemed more like the type of mass shootings carried out by disturbed individuals.
