Despite siege, new shopping center in Strip opened its doors last Saturday to enthusiastic crowds, offering international brands, much-needed air-conditioning. Mall's manager promises affordable prices tailored for local residents

While Hamas continues to demand a full lifting of the blockade, the Gaza market seems to be doing alright. Gaza Mall, the first ever shopping center in the Strip was opened last Saturday with masses storming the new attraction.

The two-floor compound, each stretching over roughly 9,700 sq. ft, offers international brands as well as much-needed air conditioning. Tens of thousands of shoppers from Rafah to Beit Hanoun have already visited the site within a matter of days, making the center Gaza's new craze. ....

This new Gaza Mall is in the kind of concentration camp that 6 million Jews dreamed about before they were murdered.

Not much of a relation to this, then?

No relation whatsoever.

How could anyone compare the two?

Did you know that the daily food allowance per Jew was 200 calories?

Advanced German Civilization? Humbug!

Palestinians are the red-headed step-children of the arab world.

Israel treats its Palestinian Arab citizens better than any Arab country does.

Do you know what "Black September" was all about?

If a Jew kills 1 Arab, it is considered much bigger news than if an Arab kills 100 Arabs.

Why is that?

maybe because inter-ethnic and inter-religious violence is more of a news story?

duhhh.

Exactly!

The Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre opened in 2004, on the 10-year anniversary of the genocide. The main level of the centre is dedicated to the Rwandan genocide, which resulted in the immediate deaths of 800,000 people, and over the following months of many hundreds of thousands more. It provides a timeline of events in Kinyarwanda, French, and English, along with a few graphic images, however I found Dallaire’s book to be far more comprehensive. The second floor of the Centre features short recaps of other genocides of the 20th century.

When this slaughter was going on, the Black leadership in the U.S. were lobbying against apartheid in South Africa.

800,000 vs ?? a few hundred or so.

You see, it's not who, or how many are killed, it's who the killers are, and who were killed.

There is so much pent up hatred against the Jews in general, it matters not what they do.

If Israel accepts 100,000 black Ethiopians into its land, they are still called racist, even though no other country would do the same.

Standards for Israel at the U.N. are so outrageous that they are almost funny.
