Someone please call them to explain a 'red-shift'

Is there a nomination for someone to have elicited the most useful responses to the most inane gibberish?

nope......

it is an anology i found on a site regarding the opposite of a redshift (ie... if a galaxy was moving towards the telescope versus away from (expanding)).

I already know how a transformer can convert electromagnetic waves. Even a basic transmitting crystal of a kids toys converts a signal to em (higher frequency; oooosually fm) ie... this computer and your wireless is using the technology of 'shifting' if that is what you like to call it.
Perhaps learn a little about how light works before trying to think you know the universe is moving aorund real fast.

put your feet back on the ground

How interesting. I admit I'm weak on the physics here, but I've bumped into the technology a bit over the years. I think if you've found a way to make a transformer alter frequencies by itself, or a way to make a crystal produce FM, you should step aside from your forum duties for a while and hie thee to the patent office, for great riches and honors await you.

on anything that takes a thought

Science has been seriously retarded by the study of what is not worth
knowing and of what is not knowable.

goethe

Goethe knew no physics,
sure he did. But didnt hold quantum mechanics and particle accellerators with much consideration, since dark matter was created.

Guys like goethe inspire people like darwin and then polymaths like me, that combine knowledge.

and his theories on color were shown to be completely wrong.

name one.

show me an example of an exact item he was wrong about.

Newton didnt even know the electromagnetic properties of light, so what physics did he do on it.

i mean, only an idiot would think that black means not light.

He is, in that regard, exactly like you.

i would love to accept such a comparison but my heart is more with Roger Bacon

Reasoning draws a conclusion, but does not make the conclusion certain, unless the mind discovers it by the path of experience.”

.

All science requires mathematics. The knowledge of mathematical things is almost innate in us. This is the easiest of sciences, a fact which is obvious in that no one's brain rejects it; for laymen and people who are utterly illiterate know how to count and reckon.”

Both above........... RB did it

Did you notice how such a romantic would think within the confines of both reasoned experience and mathematics?

I guess you may need to learn a but more on some of the historical contributers.

Dont forget to write out all them goethe errors.

then go ethe awayith...... ...... as you still post with love to me and rarely address threads

I suspect she's not that interested in this kind of fame or fortune; after all, she's already turned her back on being the most feted person in history, for her insights into the nature of cancer and how simple the cure to all cancers is ...

... but perhaps, just perhaps, I did not really understand the (apparently quite amazing) claims Bishadi made in this regard (before I put her on Ignore) ...

A transformer, when driven into saturation by a signal, can distort the waveform, which induces even and odd harmonics into the signal, which can be extracted from the waveform. Some dual-resonance circuits can accomplish similar effects. Note that there is always a net loss in energy(in the form of heat), and that the resultant signal is a harmonic of the original.

Crystals can be made to produce Frequency Modulation if they are part of the 'tank' circuit of an oscillator, and if the modulating audio impinges directly on the crystal itself (a "Crystal Microphone"). This is an inefficient means of producing FM, but many of the early 'bugs' or listening devices were constructed just this way.

Equipment based on these principles has already been patented.

Goethe died 22 March 1832; Quantum Mechanics history started around 1838; Dark matter theory postulated around 1934.

How could he (Goethe) hold quantum mechanics with any type of consideration since he was dead?

Well, it's safe to say that Goethe knew no less of quantum mechanics than Bishadi does.

Actually, if you think about it, Bishadi likely knows as much as Goethe did when Goethe was alive.

That is to say, nothing.

there we go with that heat thing

but at least you have the basics of electrical theory

Did you notice the 'resonance' aspect of 'energy'? Now how big is that ol'spectrum of em?

gotta gamma and even a radio range pretty well understood and all are electric and magnetic fields in perpendicular planes. Now what do them fields do to mass? Perhaps cause a resonance? Perhaps cause momentum?

for lots and lots of years.

the funny part is as a resonance can be generated tesla showed that a resonance can be harvested.

The principles are the same in either direction as soon as you understand the phase angle of association (sin) of electromagnetic waves.

Finally, we're getting somewhere!

All that math already exist kids!

dah :boggled:

my point has been, mass and energy are fricken cool and easy to comprehend once combining the disciplines to understand 'how it works'.

SO does mass have energy upon it, anytime above BEC (cold)? What is that energy, in one form or another (electric/magnetic fields; em; light (even the dark stuff you cant see))

about that redshift: are them galaxies they are looking at going away real fast and stretching (shifting) the wavelengh (proposterous) or is there stuff (mass) perhaps between us and the emission affecting the spectrum (emission recieved)?

come on now folks, be fair.

i have a sense of humor, too

Care to show us any? In particular, care to show us any math that supports your possition? We've been waiting since October....

ON the latter, yes, I guess if you consider the crystal as a part of an oscillator circuit, the crystal can be said to produce Fm, though I think it's probably a poor example of frequency shifting, since as far as I know the frequency of the voice into the microphone is not really shifted, and the frequency of the carrier is modulated by changing the characteristics of the oscillator, not by changing the characteristics of the wave after it's been produced.

As for the transformer, yes if you overdrive a transformer, you'll get distortion and, as a consequence, some new frequencies, but I don't think the fundamental is changed. You've basically wrecked one wave and transformed part of its energy into a bunch of other waves, but I wouldn't say you'd really shifted its frequency.

I can move a house with my excavator. See, I have smashed it up into little pieces and piled the pieces in the back field. In what sense have I moved the house?

What is preposterous about that? We know it happens with any sort of wave frequency. Ever notice that a police siren sounds more high-pitched if the car is speeding toward you then suddenly drops in pitch when the car passes you and is speeding away?
Ever heard of a Doppler radar system?
Every sort of wave shifts in frequency if a relative velocity exists between the transmitter and receiver. This isn't abstract theory; it's well-observed, well-studied phenomenon that is actually utilized to accurately measure speeds.
Why is something that is constantly observed and used on Earth suddenly preposterous when applied in exactly the same way in space?

60hz is your a/c 'frequency'

but altering the wave is easy.

as for riches and honor................ i already know, planting seeds is how to live longer and as i mention that all over the world, things are changing.... be certain, i am already growing.

money makes things easier but i was rich once and didnt like myself.

and if idiots discount reality, then i aint got the right words yet.

The only theorem that is unique is the transition of mass/energy/time, otherwise to address most of everything else (medical/evolution/life), and be capable of using it, is simply to change the methodology of the system that the energy is the specimen (em).

hence the bishadiwin rendition; ?????? (blank....??... upon ...??.....blank)

you know how electrical theory works?

can you design a basic transmitter from scratch?

Would you die before lying ever again?

When you have the credentials and peer review to back up that, then ask.

at least now you can have practical application to mass (the crystal) creating a 'shift' of energy, to transmit.

and soon may you comprehend 'frequency' as in htz and then the amplitude and even voltage of electromagnetic waves. Just imagine if you comprehended the fields and how they affect mass.

But until then the tonka is a good toy for you.

What is preposterous about that? We know it happens with any sort of wave frequency. Ever notice that a police siren sounds more high-pitched if the car is speeding toward you then suddenly drops in pitch when the car passes you and is speeding away?
Ever heard of a Doppler radar system?

that is sound (energy) upon mass.

That aint the space itself but distance between you and the siren expanding/contracting, it is the mass affecting the reception in conjunction with motion.

You have mixed up theories and it is the fools who have combined them and yet cant combine the math to make sense of it, that have you believing in the concepts material idea.

Now if the doppler aspect is concuring with mass causing redshift, then i am all for it (we are within a galaxy arm, moving).
Every sort of wave shifts in frequency if a relative velocity exists between the transmitter and receiver.
, sure, when mass is involved but in a vacuum, they say light is ONE SPEED.

This isn't abstract theory; it's well-observed, well-studied phenomenon that is actually utilized to accurately measure speeds.
Why is something that is constantly observed and used on Earth suddenly preposterous when applied in exactly the same way in space?

The sound waves and upon a medium is old old but in a vacuum (which dont exist anywhere within the universe) they speculate that the space is expanding (like...from nothing) and that is what they claim the redshift is from.

You have the 2 mixed up in your head.

, sure, when mass is involved but in a vacuum, they say light is ONE SPEED.

One speed, but a changed frequency.
Again, this is well-documented on Earth with respect to electromagnetic radiation. This isn't speculation; we know that it actually works this way. As it would logically have to, because if the transmission source is moving away from you, 60 peaks trasmitted in one second are going to hit you over the course of slightly more than one second.
Are you really not familiar with the Doppler effect?

you know how electrical theory works?

can you design a basic transmitter from scratch?

Would you die before lying ever again?

When you have the credentials and peer review to back up that, then ask.
None of that has anything to do with the ability to post one single equation.

Can you or can you not post one equation supporting your arguments? Can you or can you not demonstrate a knowledge of math necessary to comprehend the equations you have been presented?
