Slightly OT, but in the "Here's What Freeman style tax evasion tactics get you" department, Wesely Snipes started his Three Year Stay in Club Fed for attempted tax Evasion today.

According to the papers he provided, he's been not paying to the tune of $8700.36.





On an OT note, something that should also be criminal is the handwriting on that paperwork - legal documents really ought make an attempt to be generally legible.

To be fair, he might be paying child support "under the table" the way so many New Yorkers pay their maids, in order not to let the IRS or other tax agency find out about what they're doing. If he's making sure to drop by once a month with a stack of twenties so that there's no paper trail,... well, then there won't be any paper trail. And he won't be able to show evidence in the court.

Just because he's a lying, greedy, slimy bastard doesn't mean that his ex- isn't also a lying, greedy, slimy bitch. Who decided that she could make him pay twice over. (As a matter of fact, based on the well-understood principle of "assortative mating,"...)
 
What points does this book make that you feel are relevant to the discussion?
 
I wasn't in the mood to boost tobjai's ego by wasting time on his ramblings. Just wondering if he could pick out anything he thought was relevant.

I've read the book, and it's the same old rubbish.
I like the bit:

If that's the case, he could present testimonial evidence instead of shooting himself in the foot with FOTL tactics. It may come down to he said/she said, but that's still better odds than FOTL lunacy.

Repeat this until you understand: All law is positive law.

Natural law is code for "the way I think law should be". Adverting to natural law is a tired old rhetorical trick for elevating your personal preferences to universal principles. It's a sad, worn out tactic.

so i have placed a legal defence for my case, and now i aim to relocate the common law lead case, whereby gas and water are human rights, this is due to the difference between an animal and a human being is the ability to cook food, so i need as a basic human right the facility to cook my food as well as cleaning it for consumption [as who says eating isn't a basic right?], i hope that clarifies a little where i gain my right to gas [and probably electricity] under human rights, though any suitable argument or insightful inquiry into this finding will be suitably answered i hope.

Yes, I'm quite surprised he didn't say that it was him, and that he had not caused loss or harm to anyone and as such had not broken the law..

Strange he thinks he has to lie about it isn't it?
