First review of Bob Saget program...

I watched the episode with the BFRO outing. As it was presented, I got the impression the episode does not elevate the reputations of Bigfoot researchers. I don't like those kind of shows/interviews myself. Possibly it was the editing process that was unkind. I don't know, but I just got the impression the show portrayed Matt Moneymaker and the other guys as a bunch of hooligans/weirdos with hi tech equipment. The investigation procedures observed in the episode: 1. Farting in a sound dish......2. Nice close up on the yells (compare that segment to the news team having the trailer park resident describe what the tornado sounded like.) then more later at the bait station activities.......3. presentation of facts: "Bigfoot loves beer." I didn't know that myself. I wonder what brand of beer Bigfoot normally drinks? Nice going guys....very professional.

Cliff Barackman was one of the Bigfooters on the Bob Saget program. From his blog...

You probably shouldn't expect this show to be a deeply informative and educational exploration of the sasquatch mystery.

Bob was always kind and respectful of the subject while in the woods with us. He does think that sasquatches are real animals, and I know for a fact that he was moved by his personal interviews with members of the local Native American tribes. It's hard not to be...

Interview with Fancast...

Fancast: So, Bob, after spending some time searching for Sasquatch, did you come out of the experience believing in the existence of this elusive creature?

Bob Saget: Well, the truth is, I really did believe it. For three days, I didn't have any communication. I'd have e-mail at night. I have three daughters and a girlfriend and a mother and I was e-mailing, 'I think this thing exists!' and I'm being open (about) it and they were like, 'Yeah, OK.'

Saget, Barackman and the "Heryford" Cast...

If the Bigfoot Forums continues on it's current course, the seriousness given to the subject of "Bigfoot" will take a slide further down the tubes than ever seen before. Does the subject of "Bigfoot" really need more wanton, blind belief and the forced tolerance of unabated fantastical claims?

...and the PGF Massacre believers haven't even shown up yet. It will be a fun day when MK Davis and Bobbie Short show up on BFF to give the real truth about what happened to Patty and her family and friends.

BTW, Davis has just produced two music videos. You might see a few PGF stabilizations that are new...

Bigfoot Will Survive (in spite of being blown away in 1967)

Another Bob Saget review from the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Believers Club...

MAN That was some funny crap and made the BSRO look like a bunch of sho nuff gewbs. Can't believe they went on TV with ole Bob and let him hang out with them as they did research. Moneymaker was driving bout 50 MPH with only a single eye piece for NV. It really made them look foolish. Bad thing is it makes ALL researchers look like a bunch of hicks and retards cause that's what they put on TV.

It's a fun program. There's no indication in it that Saget actually believes Bigfoot exists. They get some vocalization while out in the woods and it sounds like it could be a coyote or fox. Only Bigfoot is suggested. It's amazing to see the headquarters of the BFRO's Olympic Project. Wealthy sugar daddy Wally Hersom is really putting out the bucks for hi-tech toys that have never confirmed the existence of Bigfoot for years and years and counting. Matt Moneymaker must know how to keep the Hersom teat flowing.

For many years bigfooters have lamented the fact that no proof comes to
unite the faithful. It seems like as the years go on, some proponents drift
closer to the skeptics side of bigfootery. It's not about if you ascribe to
kill or no-kill morals. It's about proof. Substantiative, validated proof.

Years go by with no proof discovered yet. Proponents say good evidence is
out there right now, but it will not change the facts. How many more years
unfold before this supposedly huge animal shows up in a verifiable way?

Before answering, I will make a small prediction about this. I predict that
folks who want to believe will continue to. Some seek proof of existence
for this elusive myth. I say we are bigfoot, and bigfoot is us.

The Final Nail in Bigfoot's coffin was the advent of the Trailcam. Bushnell estimates 150,000 sold in the PNW by the year 2002. Number must be 5 times that today. Calculate the number of Man hours by every researcher looking for SOMETHING to prove it's existence and that number is well into the Hundred thousound if not more. Today is no different than 40 years ago. we have NOTHING. It's make believe, folklore, money scams, fake video's, and a bunch of delusional idiots running cult clubs to support their fairytails and fantasy.

Yet in spite of this Meldrum was given a huge pile of money to find Bigfoot using trailcams (and other things). It's as if the donor thinks that having Meldrum put up the cams is somehow better than all the others put up by everyone else. Special blessing good luck charm in the form of a Church of the Latter Day Saints Bigfoot Believer Professor.

$130,000 to Dr. Jeff Meldrum, from the Mayfield Foundation in support of Meldrum’s project titled "North American Ape Project (NAAP): 2008." The North American Ape Project (NAAP) seeks to detect and collect evidence through support from the Mayfield Foundation. This will be undertaken primarily by means of hair snags monitored by camera traps. In addition, fieldworkers will record vocalizations, document tracks and sample associated scat. Habitats will be analyzed for availability and distribution of food resources.

"Hair catchers and trail cams" is something I've been pushing on the BFF for years. I think this proves that Meldrum reads the BFF and has been mining my posts for research advice.

is Spazmo the head honcho at BFF?

Spazmo, along with Jon Downes and Shadoangel, is an "FMT" (Forum Management Team). He was in the AIBR's (Alliance of Independent Bigfoot Researchers - BFF v.1 owner Brian "Bipto" Brown, Gimlin Guard Tom Yamarone seen on the Saget show, and Kathy Strain's Bigfoot group) seat on the BFF Steering Committee.

Those three are for now essentially the chief admins of the BFF.

On the FaceBook site "Bigfoot" they claim an episode of "Swamp Loggers" filmed and entire family of sasquatches. The clip is on Youtube. "swamp loggers possible bigfoot".

Problem is, The footers claim bigfoot can sense camera's and avoid them. This is why a trailcam will never get a picture of Bigfoot. RIGHT?, Yet 3 sasquatches including a Baby on it's mothers back strolls 50' infront of a complete film crew in broad daylight.... Bigfoot logic at it's best...

I think a good IRS audit of MMs funds would be interesting. BFRO is a nonprofit, right? They use the .org extension. Is it in the interest of the "public good" to look for Bigfoot? How is it helping anyone but MM?

If it's not an NGO, then he needs to drop the .org

ETA: and if it is an NGO, then Hersom can write any donations off up to 50% of his income.

They use the .net extension.

Why can't they be an NPO? Health insurance companies can be NPOs, Boy Scouts, Religons, you don't have to be helping everyone to be an NPO.
