Any 'pro-Palestinian' atheists here?

and you want me to provide evidence that the BS of mass immigration to Palestine by Arabs, Joan Peters favorite historic revisionism, has been debunked?

Alright.

You said it has been debunked. While it's certainly a heated discussion, the topic has never quite been resolved, as indicated by the arguments made by both Pipes and Sanders, as well as Porath.

According to Porath, while there was never a "supposed quintupling" of the population, the coastal regions flourished from migrations of "mountain Palestinians" seeking better economic opportunities. It just so happens they migrated to areas where the Jews had settled and were developing, but surely it can't be because of the advancements they brought. It's interesting to note that a great deal of land outside of the coastal region is mountainous. Just a detail I guess.

Anyways,

Daniel Pipes said:
She supports this argument with an array of demographic statistics and contemporary accounts, the bulk of which have not been questioned by any reviewer, including Professor Porath.

Does this debate factor in illegal immigration?

If the Arab/Muslims would put down their weapons, there would be no conflict.
If the Israelis would put down their weapons, there would be no Israel.

It is that simple, but some refuse to see.

As long as Israel expands into the West Bank, implementing it's apartheid policies, there will inevitably be conflict. It's a highly complex situation.

no, its actually quite simple.

as long as Israel expands settlements in the WB and makes Palestinians homeless in EJ, there will be conflict.

I wonder what would happen if Israel stopped all settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

I wonder what would happen if Israel stopped confiscating private property in the West Bank and Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem.

I guess....we will never know.

I guess we got that settled at least.

nice job editing my post to make it appear that I was agreeing with 154, which I clearly was not.

my complete post, said this:

"no, Mr. Prager is indeed a right-wing bigot. He also said that America is in a civil-war, when Obama was elected."

Well there was a freeze on settlements in the West Bank and the PA didn't rush to the negotiating table.

But my question was:
Anything in that simple video unfair or untrue?

So you were clearly not agreeing with what?

I understand that you do not like Prager, or me for that matter.
Regardless, that has no bearing on the truth of this matter.

Do you find anything in that short video to be unfair or untrue?

Ram Cohen, the principal of Tel Aviv's Ironi Aleph high school, wrote that young men from the settlements "view the army as a tool to maintain Israel's control over the occupied territories." It's no wonder that the percentage of students choosing to serve in combat units among graduates of the school run by this slogan-ridden, superficial educator is much lower even than the Tel Aviv norm.

They wanted an assurance that settlements would not resume, and were not given it. A reasonable demand, since the last talks were going of for years, while settlement building expansion went ahead.

Netanyahu declared a ten month moratorium on settlements and the Palestinians refused to take up the offer of negotiating. They waited until the 9th month then said they needed more time to decide and that the moratorium needs to be extended. Classic stalling tactic.

that's because the PA wanted a freeze on settlement building in ALL occupied territory, which includes East Jerusalem.

Yeah, well, who was it that song, "You can't always get what you want"? Refusing to negotiate isn't going to stop the settlement construction. The PA needs to sit their butts down and get serious with negotiations. If they make a good faith effort to negotiate, and Israel doesn't, then you'd have a good reason to blame Israel for the failure of a final settlement. Right now, the PA is acting like a petulant child, throwing a tantrum in the store because mommy isn't buying them everything they want, and hoping that if they cry loud enough, someone else will step in and give them what they want.

"Stiff-necked" and obstinate prejudice, truth be damned.

I don't watch Youtube videos on political issues. Whether its about 9-11, the JFK assassination, or Israel/Palestine.

Call it a matter of principle.

I'm not sure its really worth it to negotiate with someone who on the one hand, agrees that they may have to abandom 90% or so of the West Bank, but on the other hand continues to build settlements in the West Bank.

I wonder if Israel would be willing to negotiate with the Palestinians, if Hamas and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade were blowing up buses in Tel Aviv, as we speak.

Somehow, I think Israel might demand an end to all violence before they would agree to resume negotiations.

It's not Youtube.

Call it a matter of willful ignorance, by definition, you don't want to know and will not look.

I do not look at videos posted by many folks on JREF, including Neo-Nazis, Creationists, Birthers, Truthers, and other folks.
