Hey Thunder, did you know that the EU has a special trade agreement with Israel?

Yeah, they don't pay the same import/export taxes other non EU countries do.

Did you also know that France and Germany were pivotal to setting up the state of Israel? They sent money, material aid and weapons to the early proto-state. Indeed they actually donated more than any other nation at the time.

the British Mandate stipulated that Palestine would be a Jewish homeland, even though a very small minority of the population was actually Jewish.

and in 1947, the UN gave 65% of Palestine to the Jews, even though they made up 40% of the population. Almost all of them being immigrants.

#1. I NEVER said there were "no Jews" in Palestine.

#2. In 1918, Jews made up a very small minority of the population of Palestine.

#3. In 1947, Jews made up around 40% of the population of Palestine.

Are you disputing these facts...or just making cheap shots?

the British Mandate for Palestine, which stipulated that Palestine would be a homeland for the Jewish people, began in the early 1920s.

this proclamation was NOT made in 1947...now was it?

it was made in 1917. in 1922, Palestine was only 11% Jewish.

My previous statement is correct. The Balfour Declaration in 1917 and the British Mandate in 1922 made Palestine a Jewish homeland, even though only a small percentage of the population was Jewish. They made up only 11%.

No moving goalposts. Just facts. Too bad some folks here hate facts.

I wonder if parky's nostalgic look back to the Jew-free good ol' days, before the uppity zionists started causing trouble by living in a place that just forced the Arabs to kill them, applies to any other group of people. Would it be OK if I sighed, and said, "Oh, I remember when there were no darkies around here. The brave Klan tried to fight them but they increased and increased in number!"? After all, the increasing number of Blacks in my neighborhood is a fact, and I don't want to be like one of those folks who hates facts, now do I?

Parky would probably find that acceptable, mere proof of the evil nature of the colonialist-opressive Black people. As long as they were Jewish black people, like the Ethiopian Jews, of course.

Anyway, it's amusing how Parky, who openly says he never visited Israel and probably never will, attempt to "educated" Israelies about the facts about it.

in 1922, Palestine was 11% Jewish.

and yet, the League of Nations and the British decided to turn it into a Jewish homeland.

somehow, I kinda understand why the local non-Jews would have found this to be just a weeeeee bit unfare.

and btw, it wasn't the fault or the responsibility of the local non-Jews, that Jews in Europe were getting their butt's kicked. Nor should it have been their burden.
