This has to be the most vapid piece of crap that I have read in a while...

Ann Coulter: Repeal the 26th Amendment

It takes to the 6th paragraph until she actually makes a cohesive statement.

Some gems:
"As we have learned from ObamaCare, young people are not considered adults until age 26"

"Having absolutely no idea what makes their precious cars run, by the way, young voters are the most likely to oppose offshore drilling."

"How about 10-year-olds? Why not give them the vote? "

I could go on

Her writing style is that of biting satire. In her hyperbole is a point. It's just that I'm not real sure what the point is. When I saw the OP my first thought was "she is pointing out how ridiculous it is that 18-26 year-olds should be treated like minors in regards to health insurance. Why not drag that out to it's 'logical' conclusion and decide they can't vote." But after reading it, I'm not sure of her point. She does think that the Dems take full advantage of the naivete of youth (hence, why would the young vote for Dems...). She paints all 18-26 year olds as practically worthless (they're single, non-home owning, minimum tax paying, intellectually handicapped, children who happen to now be labeled "adults").

It's hard to read that and not think "you're just pissed because it's considered an easy vote for the Dems".

I owned a home when I was 25 =[

Skanky Ann is a comedienne, nothing more and nothing less.

She graduated from a decent law school. They taught her to think in a way that she intentionally ignores when she's writing bad comedy.

You mean this truth:
Let's identify groups that disagree with me and disenfranchise them for no other reason than the fact that they disagree with me.

You mean the JREF lib truth?

You mean the JREF lib truth?

The good old, 'I know you are but what am I?' gambit. Seeing as I don't recall any large number of liberals calling for conservatives or groups that typically vote conservative to have their enfranchisement withdrawn, the claim is somewhat flaccid.

You mean the JREF lib truth?

And what libs have proposed disenfranchising millions of American citizens?

The group in question makes up a very large portion of our Armed Services. Why does Ann Coulter hate our troops?

I would be ok with that, as long as they raised the age of enlistment and conscription into the military correspondingly.

Context is eveything.

"Adopted in 1971 at the tail end of the Worst Generation's anti-war protests, the argument for allowing children to vote was that 18-year-olds could drink and be conscripted into the military, so they ought to be allowed to vote.

But 18-year-olds aren't allowed to drink anymore. We no longer have a draft. In fact, while repealing the 26th Amendment, we ought to add a separate right to vote for members of the military, irrespective of age."
A.C.

is in context with this:

"As we have learned from ObamaCare, young people are not considered adults until age 26, at which point they are finally forced to get off their parents' health care plans. The old motto was "Old enough to fight, old enough to vote." The new motto is: "Not old enough to buy your own health insurance, not old enough to vote." A.C.
