I just don't see how any length of time sitting around will generate metallic foam.

Also, samples that are similar to mine are already represented in the literature.

I lost a very dear friend in the North Tower that day. She was 23, a newlywed, had a seven-month-old baby, and her entire life in front of her. And just like that, she was gone. Perhaps the events of that day are an academic abstraction to you; but to me, and to a number of others who post here, they are all too real.

As much as I would enjoy infracting you, I can't; you have the right to express your opinion, no matter how offensive it is to me personally. I will say, though, that the quoted comment probably offended me more than anything else I have read in my four and a half years on this forum.

I'll leave the moderation of this thread to others. I am quite sure I can no longer be objective where this particular poster is concerned.

9/11 affected me deeply. This is not an academic subject that is distant to me.

But it's time to lift the veil. The attacks are over. The buildings are getting rebuilt. It's not time to move on, but it is long past time when 9/11 is a taboo subject. No one who died that day will ever be brought back to us, but we can find the real killers.

You bring up a very good point, namely, the difference between an internet post and a doctoral dissertation.

I played the clown as much as possible even in graduate school. I was completely unlike any of the other graduate students, and I was well loved and wildly hated by some, as is the case with goofballs like me.

My PhD advisor enjoyed the heck out of me, and even allowed me to title my thesis, "The Two State Model of Receptor Activation: The Agonist and the Efficacy". You can probably google that, too.

I don't do things the "right" way if that way includes a somber attitude. It's time people started loosening up about 9/11 and getting rid of their anger. If you think Arabs did it, then your anger is entirely misplaced.

It's time for our scars to heal, and the truth will be instrumental in that. It's time for a new story, one that doesn't include freedom of speech zones and taking your shoes off at the airport. It's time to be goofy about 9/11. Or is it still too soon for you?

Yuck. There is nothing funny about the attacks of 9/11.

And, I disagree with Ahmadinejad about a US consipracy.

However, clowns will be clowns, artists will be artists, and comedians will be comedians, and nothing about 9/11 should stop that. There are plenty of people who walk around ready to punch anybody who even mentions 9/11. This needs to stop.

There are highly educated and deeply caring individuals, like Dr. Judy Wood, who want the truth to come out. She's not a bad person.

Even the greenest crime scene investigator knows that you cannot work with a contaminated sample; it would be invalid even before they started performing tests of any kind on it. The test results, if they actually went so far as to perform tests on it, would be invalidated by the contamination. This is why samples are collected as soon as possible after a crime is committed so as to have the purest samples possible. Expecting us to quietly accept the fact that your so-called sample was collected more than eight years AFTER the crime was committed, and to accept the results of your tests on said sample without pointing out the fallacy in that is, quite frankly, utter lunacy.

The long and the short of it is, WTC Dust, if you actually followed legitimate scientific practices, you would know this. You have failed. Miserably. Get over it and move on. Devoting nine years of your life to an utterly ************ theory is enough time wasted.

I have discovered WTC dust. This dust is multitypical. Some of this dust is a magnetic foam. Most of it isn't a magnetic foam, and instead corresponds to the commonly described dust from the WTC. Magnetic WTC foam disproves an airplane attack, because nothing about an airplane crash produces magnetic foam.

Your sample is worthless, or did the residents of the home give you specific timeline for the 8 yrs your sample sat getting contaminated? That alone would tell any self respecting scientist that any findings from the home's basement is invalid.

It's not the age. It's that they sat uncontrolled for 9 years. There is absolutely no way to ensure they were not contaminated. It would be incredibly dishonest to use the sample in your possession to make comments about what happened to the WTC.

If you were to present this to anyone in academia posessing any shred of scientific ethics, they would throw it in the trash immediately.

Yup. Exploiting 9/11, one of the greatest American tragedies, as a vehicle for personal recognition. That's what she is doing. She will trample on any truth in order to promote herself as the #2 (and I'm sure she means to be #1) 9/11 researcher - at least in her mind.

Those of us who are disgusted with her antics have every reason to be - she has no shame, and no scruples. She has glibly excused the actual terrorists because it helps her self-promotion. Probably isn't even self-aware enough to comprehend that motivation...
