It's amazing to me that people just keep objecting to the actual problems people have pointed out with this group and keep attacking the strawman that is the, 'he dresses up like a Nazi so he is one'. That's not the argument being made.

I think it's a fundamental disagreement on if or if not there are actual problems with the group. No matter which side you are on, it is a subjective decision and some will see it differently than others. That's why i gave up on the discussion, although it was enjoyable at first.

In the case of my last post, I was just struck by that picture when I found it on another site today. I was wondering if anyone could identify the subject. Just meant it as a game, not a serious post. I should have explained that better, I guess.

Two reasons why there might be a problem:

1) They call themselves "living historians" but utterly ignore the distasteful aspects of the history they are portraying.

2) They describe Nazis in complimentary terms, referring to their valor and idealism.

So what we are left with is a bunch of role-playing fantasists presenting a Nazi S.S. division in a historically inaccurate and celebratory manner.

There is no valor in the murder of innocents. There is no courage in the slaughter of helpless captives. There is no honor in making knickknacks out of their remains.
