I'm pretty proud of my country's political stance on LGBT issues.

Altough, it is not perfect by any means.

Also, I use the word "queer" but when it comes to those other two "f" words, I will not let those words come of mouth on any occasion.

I think of them in the same way as i would the "n" word.

homosexuals don't go after little boys
straight men don't go after little girls.
pedophiles go after children.

This is an example of how many people have not progressed in regards to this issue.
 
I've actually never understood the supposed homosexual/pedophile connection? Where does it come from? To me it's always been a random type of slander. Even as a kid I never understood why someone would assume that about a gay person. Yet now I'm older and I still see and hear this connection being made.

Logically speaking, since heterosexuals far outnumber homosexuals, there must be a lot more heterosexual pedophiles (not that sexual orientation necessarily has anything to do with pedophilia).

Seriously, where did the association originate?

And it seems like the association it made more with gay men. Why is that? Why not gay women?

It seems to me that pedophilia is a “sexual orientation” in exactly the same way that homosexuality is. Most people are sexually attracted to adults of the opposite sex. A small portion are, instead, attracted to adults of the same sex. Another small portion are attracted to children.

It's odd that we've come to turn this particular form of sexual perversion into a protected civil right, to the point that nobody else can correctly and accurately describe it for what it truly is, and compare it to other sexual perversions, without being condemned as some sort of foul bigot for doing so.

It is nice that people who consider it a perversion are condemned as bigots, isn't it. We just need to make sure it happens more often.
