Walk outs are a traditional way of expressing displeasure at the UN. It's almost expected.

Not at all. IMO Ahmedinejad is just playing up the anti-American sentiment which is already boiling around the world, by alluding to the 9/11 controversy (courtesy of the likes of David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage).

Politicians do this all the time, and yes, it's as dishonest and absurd when others do it - just recall the crap that was flying from Bush, Rice, Cheney, Blair et al about WMD's and Iraq.
It's because of the outright lies and distortions of American leaders that public opinion went down the toilet.
Prez A. is just playing to that sentiment.

Anyway, he didn't commit to any particular belief, but simply recited the theories - that was actually pretty shrewd.
 
Ahmadinejad really does appear to know more about 9/11 than Americans do. That really gives credence to this statement by the patriot Daniel Ellsberg.

Oh come on. He spent 5 minutes of a talk at the UN on conspiracy theories when he could have talked about more relevant things. :rolleyes:

No one expected Ahmadinejad to raise the issue of 9/11 and diplomats do not walk-out on their own without instructions. They were all told to leave if he mentioned “Zionist entity”.

We're still stuck with 2 foreign occupations which are not going very well. I listened to a recent interview with former ISI chief General Hamid Gul (Pakistan) where he described with great clarity how the current misadventure is damaging sentiment towards America.

Apparently, at least in urban areas, a majority of Pakistanis consider America to be an enemy, precisely because of the invasion of Afghanistan and the incursions into tribal areas. All this because of 9/11.

So I would disagree that we've been able to move on. I await the day when Canada extracts its combat forces. Until then...

I agree. 9/11 was nothing less than an attempt to a global coup d'etat:
- To create a terrorism pretext to invade any country at will.
- To make the ME safe for Israel.
- To bring 60% of the oil resources under US control.
- To install a Soviet style tyranny at home (patriot act).

A bunch of students at the university of Chicago in the 60's were constantly brainstorming political new ground. The archneocon Wolfowitz was there and Feith and possibly Rumsfeld too among others. Interestingly one of the group gave his final thesis the chilling title of 'How to turn America into a Presidential Dictatorship by manufacturing a bogus Pearl Harbour event'.

His name was Stanley Hilton.
