Yes, but even thought I first heard of this rally through the web, I had no idea at all that there was a Facebook page. Furthermore, I do not have a Facebook account and if I were going to the rally, I would not RSVP on the Facebook page.

Colbert and Stewart have not endorsed any candidates or party1 as a lead up to this rally. I love how Beck is assuming that a rally devoted to sanity must be in favor of Democratic candidates.

Ladewig-this looks fair. The parks service doesn't do counts anymore. I just sent them an email to see if they were going to be covering the rally.

I don't have a dog in this fight so I am going to stay out of the discussion about which estimate is the best. There already was a lengthy JREF thread about it.

If you are going to use 87,000, then I agree that the upcoming rally will exceed that number.

I expect making fun of the number estimations will be one of the things that Stewart and Colbert will have endless fun with after their rally.
 
i hope it will also be streamed on FB. i punished myself and watched GB's restore ignorance rally, now i hope i get rewarded by a stream of sanity. :)

and i so very much hope there will be twice a much people. The other crowd was a bit scary to see.

Just to mess up your over bet a little more. I went to a Facebook event at UNCG last month.

150 people rsvp'd yes and 200 to 250 showed up. I know that I am going to the RtRS and am bringing 2 people with me that have not rsvp'd. It's all anecdotal, I know. I guess we shall see.
