Merged Rally to Restore Sanity

Bump. Up to 129,000. That would equal, what, 12.9 mil in Foxgebra?
 
i hope Stewart and Colbert realize that they now have a massive rally on their hands. who else is gonna be speaking?

Well, saying on Facebook you're going and actually going are two different things. I'd be surprised if half the number actually show up. Some girl got 21,000 people to say they were coming to her birthday party.

I doubt they'll get the 80,000 or so that showed up for Beck. His followers probably feel they were really Restoring Honor and making a political statement. For the Restore Sanity, it's more of a goof.

I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't place any bets on it.

I will agree that Facebook numbers should not be considered anything more than a WAG, but do consider that they will be some people going who do not have Facebook accounts - not everyone interested in US politics is on the interwebs.

I'll also suspect that Beck's group will show up in voting booths come Nov., and very few votes for Dems will be made by them.

Of course this Restored To Sanity bunch can do the same, Democrats mostly I suspect, and vote for their candidate. Although many may yet begin to experience buyers remorse on what they have going, and decide a no-vote is more appropriate. Maybe even a few Republicans will be there, and I would bet they don't vote Democrat.

I say a bet with no reliable referee is a foolish bet to place. Who will do the counting? And since one of the rallies already happened, who did the counting?

He guesses. He doesn't know. But that doesn't stop him from making up weird charges about getting the youth to vote with the labor unions.

For Beck's rally? Third party crowd estimators using photos taken by airphotoslive.com. They returned an average of the estimates of about 87k, if I remember correctly.
