The only time I've been close to crying on this board was from the laughter inspired by this idiot that really wanted to know why thermal expansion doesn't collapse his charcoal grill.

TV personalities attract the attention of stupid people.

TV personalities that host political commentary shows attract the attention of stupid people with political agendas.

If Beck and Stewart both quit their jobs and became just average joes, they would likely never see another truther the rest of their lives.

Wasn't suggesting that either of them quit, I was just pointing out to Sivan that truthers are all but non existent and easy to avoid for those of us not in places that they target for their antics.

I didn't say you were crying I meant Leibowitz. Watch Beck? What channel is he on? I heard him on the radio. He's nuts. He has the same view point about truthers as most of you here though.
 
As I seem to recall all of the people who had comedy shows (Late Night, The Late Show, The Tonight Show, The Daily Show etc) spent at least 10 minutes of their first shows after 9/11 talking about the decision to come back and whether if it was maybe too soon to do so. All of them had teary eyed hosts and guests for the first few days back on the air. Hell, some of them had hardened newsmen on as guests who got "Blubbery" and "Snot nosed" when discussing the attacks and their own feelings while delivering the news as it happened. I'm not sure what your point is by pointing out that well known people are also humans and have human feelings.

Yes, and like most of the world. Similarly, he also believes the world is round. Look he is right twice...just like a broken clock. Apart from that though, I think he is a freaking nutbar...just like most of your fellows.

I said I'm glad he can laugh now and make jokes. He knows nothing about 9/11 as far as truthers and debunking goes.

Wait, so now you've narrowed "the topic" down to "truthers and debunking" instead of just "9/11". Well, I personally wouldn't blame him for not knowing much about that; in the big picture neither are all that significant. Merely knowing that either side exists is enough.
