...maybe to someone with as warped a sense of it as you...

That's funny. Sometimes he uses that same response on your posts as well.

From what I've seen, he knows a lot more about history than most of you.![]()
Do you believe the Mormon version of the history of North America?
Then why doesn't he put his brain in gear BEFORE engaging his mouth? From what I've seen, he knows a lot more about history than most of you.![]()
He used to be on CNN, now he's on Fox. That means he's flip-flopped his apparent beliefs for money. He's entertainment, not fact. He's blustery exaggeration with a side of dishonest.
Now, understanding that he is a mormon and knowing what a mormon believes, I'm astonished that any intelligent person could believe anything the LDS church teaches.
yes I dislike beckSo I was hoping i could hear from the skeptics here at jref. Do you
dislike Beck?
Because he has followersWhy?
I think he is a practiced prevaricator, just like so many demagogues before him.Do you think he is an honest man, intelligent, but compartmentalizes his beliefs.
I think he is a talk show host.Or is he an intelligent man but dishonest and merely another scumbag tricking the laypeople of America into giving him their money?(obviously those aren't the only options to describe beck).

That's what I think. I remember The Daily Show did a bit with him (as a CNN correspondant) talking about how the US health system was so godawful bad. Then when he went to Fox, suddenly the US had the best health system in the world. He used to be on CNN, now he's on Fox. That means he's flip-flopped his apparent beliefs for money. You just described every TV evangelist in creation. That's what I think. I remember The Daily Show did a bit with him (as a CNN correspondant) talking about how the US health system was so godawful bad. Then when he went to Fox, suddenly the US had the best health system in the world.
The man wants money. To get it, he finds a group of unhappy people, figures out how to milk their unhappiness and BOOM, he's a leader. Rush Limbaugh is almost certainly the same. I don't believe for an instant that they truly believe the stuff they are saying. They are just media whores. Same for Keith Olberman too. Equal time, ya know.
