Merged Two Mosques to be built near Ground Zero

The latest polling in the States says that 31% of the population think Obama is a muslim. He isn't. But if he gets re-elected after one term it will be very surprising, even if he's against Sarah Palin.
Watch the carnage at the forthcoming congressional elections. Obama should have said he was against the building of this mosque from day one. 61 % of American are. Only 21% are for it. The rest don't know/care.
 
Just read a newspaper article about the imam of the proposed mosque.

The guy is not just a moderate, he's a text-book, poster-boy moderate!

He's involved in inter-faith dialog, writes pro-American books and is used for diplomatic missions to the Islamic world.
And that last thing he has been doing during the Bush administration!

The people who oppose this live in bizarro-world.

And lemme guess, these are probably the same teabagger nutbars that usually think that the constitution is a thing of God-like perfection.

Well, if they want to stop this thing, they better have the GOP propose a constitutional amendment prohibiting a specific religious group opening a house of worship within X miles from the location of a terrorist attack...or something.

In the meantime: Dutch national embarrassment and hairstyling disaster, Geert Wilders will speak in NY against the opening of a mosque ON Ground Zero.

I think I need a drink.

Is this the very same iman who has not ruled out accepting money for the project even from terrorist states such as Iran? Or from Saudi Arabia? [which is a dictatorship]

Is this the very same Iman who is married to David Bowie? Bowie has made some very disturbing pro-fascist statements and gestures. I think we need answers to these questions before we allow this project to go forward.

This is from the Washington Post...........A new Time-SRBI poll found that 61% of Americans opposed building the center. Nearly twice as many people said the center, and the mosque inside it, would be an insult to 9/11 victims than said it would be a symbol of religious tolerance.
Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, facing a stiff re-election challemge, came out against the project after his Republican rival Sharron Angle pressed him on the issue.

I'll grant you that they don't use suicide bombers, but is really "murder, abduction, mutilation, sexual enslavement of women and children, and forcing children to participate in hostilities" much better if they don't do it by blowing themselves up?

So this "don't build the mosque" thing is an emotionally charged, knee-jerk reaction (without any forethought of tolerance or following of our own Consititution), by a bunch of political figures bent on either keeping their job or getting their side to win?
