Holocaust deniers, explain this.

They're so happy. I wish I could have lived at Belsen. Those Nazis must have been really nice.

I'll be in Germany next week. I know of a couple of monuments to the victims of the Nazi era in the town that I will be staying in. One is to the general victims, no race or religion mentioned, and one has a menorah on it. It's on the site of the old synagogue, burned down on Krystalnacht. I wonder who made the Germans put those up. There weren't exactly a lot of Jews left to run the place, ya know.

Even though I am sort of intrigued by the idea that the embellishment of the Holocaust could be a bit unethical, I'm not sure I don't agree that the gas chambers didn't happen.

I've personally spoken to Holocaust survivor Eva Kor and her doctor in the camp has as a German doctor, Nazi etc. admitted that these "myths" are true.

Perhaps that niceness explains why they were so often monumentally stupid in the way they conducted their war effort. They were just too nice to actually want to win!

What did happen?

There is a very distinct lack of mention of Jews and the Holocaust in any of the material provided, so where do you get Jews from based on this material? The materials show that the Nazis and the SS committed atrocities. I don't see how one can infer the Holocaust from it especially as it pertains to Jews.

Lamp shades have since been discredited and off course gas chambers remain to be at the heart of the controversy.

Although I get a lot of why you are angry towards the deniers, I have to say your arguments come across as quite childish. In addition you don't seem to make an effort to understand the point the deniers are making.

Not that I agree with them but it is a bit annoying to watch the nonsense that is not logical in my mind.

For example. It seems clear that the deniers distinguish between "deaths during a war" or "war murder" and "The Holocaust" the difference is that all countries in the world have their share of atrocities towards "the other" during times of war. Mass deaths in camps during a war is typical.

The Holocaust seems to be considered a systematic attempt to wipe Jews off the map. However deniers DO have a point in questioning WHY this is put forth as the Jewish Tragedy when many other ethnic groups suffered the same and more. Oliver Stone recently brought this up and was escoriated for it.

Which brings us to another problem in discussing this topic. If all those who want to examine the facts from the perspective that this was a "HUMAN" tragedy and not just a "JEWISH" tragedy are treated as "deniers" or accused of "siding with the Nazis" simply because they question it, then at the end of the day you have to wonder WHERE you expect people to find information if it is completely oppressed.

If this is a Jewish only tragedy then why were other groups killed as well? To me the tragedy is one taught quite well to Hitler by the United States. This was the Eugenics movement that sought to "kill the weeds" in society in order to make a "super race." This is why Hitler got the Gypsies, gays etc etc etc along with the Jews.

I think the point you are missing is why is this promoted as a Jewish Tragedy? And part of that is indeed the number of Jews killed, but also part of it is the propaganda that is attached, the urban legends and grusome stories.

The fact that anyone felt the need to "embellish" the horror by adding things like "Jewish Soap" and lampshades really causes some to pause and wonder why in the world you would need to embellish such a horrible story in the first place. And even worse, "what else has been embellished"

To me it should be a fair line of thinking without flipping out with name calling and being melodramatic if you truly want to discuss the topic.


Otherwise, why did you start the thread? The OP has been shot down several times already so what was the point?

It is a very simple issue,that is why I deal with it in a simple way.Hitler and his merry men didn their best to exterminate every Jew in Europe.That is a fact.I see no need for hi-falutin' arguments.Most neo nazis are as thick as two short planks anyway,so what would be the point?
