That's something that reminds me of high school in Melbourne - those and Ugg boots. It was interesting to see trendy young things getting about Ankara in them last winter. Could be a market for the old duffle coat too.

I never had ugg boots, but I did have sheepskin moccasins. :boxedin:

But I never wore them down the street! Ugh indeed.
 
I actually loved uggies back in the 80s; wore them everywhere.
I never ever had a duffle coat, they were for real bogons. :)

Now I just flannell and moccies - Moe here I come!

I loved the Ugg boots that made it to my house! (I guess it was in the '80s, I don't really remember...) They were the most comfortable, warmest, most wonderful shoes for winter where I lived. I wore them outside, and could take them off and be barefoot (or socked) where I was inside.

Interestingly, on the first page of Google results, all the duffle coats shown are black.

I am just visiting this thread today to ask a question, and noticed your post. Absolutely agree about the Ugg boots! I had a pair when I was there for a year (1986) and when I went back to visit friends, brought back pairs for various members of the family. I am visitng friends again in October and intend to buy a new pair!

However, my question is about DVDs. I bought three yesterday - one for each of my hosts - http://www.thenewforest.co.uk/thedms_eshop.aspx?dms=72&shop=1&prod=2377
Could someone tell me if they will be suitable for playing on players in Australia?

What's the region number on the DVDs? Australia is in Region 4.
