Nine year old soils herself, gets buried alive

My dad was just on a jury that convicted a man of molesting his step-daughter. What clinched it for them was when forensics was able to match the loads of semen stains on her bed sheets to him. He tried to excuse that by saying he masturbated onto her bed when she wasn't there.

Ok, I don't want to be crude here but-

I have heard stories from young people about Mom- who is usually divorced, separated, remarried, having an affair or has never been married- having sex with her boyfriend or sometimes her husband on the kid's bed. A classmate in high school even told me about finding the evidence on her sheets and chewing her mother out for it. Actually, another classmate in high school told me the exact same thing about finding remnants of Mom and her boyfriend on her bed. I think I've heard stories about Dad and his girlfriend using the kid's bed, too.

So I actually find the explanation that the stepfather did that perfectly plausible.

Hehehe, no, I meant that it was always Mom with the 2nd husband, lover or boyfriend.

Not with her first husband, the teenager's father.

(I think it was cause her own bed wasn't big enough or her own room wasn't clean enough that day or something like that- so she decided to use her teenage daughter's.)

Married, monogamous and conventional people don't do that sorta thing.

I think.

Sounds like it wasn't the only evidence, just the 'clincher' for the jury. There are other places to masturbate if one feels the need, a child's bed is not a sensible choice, especially for a step parent.

I remember an old comic strip where the guy was afraid to turn on the TV for fear of learning what latest disaster had occurred while he was asleep. Nuclear war? Massive earthquakes? Military coups?

When he finally turned it on, he was greeted by an interview with Kermit the Frog, who was quashing rumors about an affair with Miss Piggy.
OMG - how did he cope?!

... but completely inappropriate and unacceptable nonetheless, right?

Well, that includes everyone, doesn't it? Are you sure there isn't a category you have missed?
Er ... "married"?!

Don't you mean "married and/or monogamous and/or conventional" (whatever "conventional" means!)?! (not to mention all of the other possible "and/or"s!)

Yeah, there was also an eyewitness that saw the guy naked in the girls room while she was asleep and the girls own testimony that she was often "blindfolded" when given a special medicine in the middle of the night.

Given the combination of evidence the guy sure looked guilty to my dad.

Males, while sleeping, sometimes have nighttime emissions they don't...um....know about. Some have them past adolescence. Medication can worsen this situation.

Theoretically, if the kid is sick in a barfy sort of way, (say the whole house has the flu) and the parents have a bathroom next to the bedroom, Dad could be kicked out, kid moved in with mom so mom can nurse kidlet, older relative on the couch, you get the pic.

It's a combination of things for me, from "I really dislike kids" to "I have more mental health issues than you can shake a stick at and I don't feel I am a responsible choice to be a parent" and a few other things as well. No amount of reasons seem to make me normal though -- I continue to be "weird" to a lot of people since I don't wanna pop 'em out.

But I figure we can't be any more weird than the people burying children alive :eye-poppi

At least my weird doesn't hurt anyone.

I love this term, just wanted to say that :D I had never heard it before, it just has a great ring to it.

My parents were also one-and-done. :)

I think those that push their ideas of whats normal on others are the weird ones, you would be just differently normal in the words of Terry Pratchett!
(S_J,Mother of two, who would completely understand why anyone may not want to be a mum or dad!)

Glad you wrote "theoretically". ;)

Weird things happen all the time. That's why they have television shows like "My Dysfunctional Life" and "Married With Children". They can also include, in the future, the "dysfunctional second bathroom". But I demand royalties!...:D </Derail>
