Not if you have first invited them into your home. Why do you think they're trying to be census workers?I heard that you could repel ACORN with cloves of garlic and silver crosses.

By the way Meadmaker, thanks for all the hard work and investigation that you did during this long ordeal. I read your posts with interest because I knew that they could be relied upon to be factual, even if you did have a candidate preference. You really added a lot of E in JREF.![]()
Edit: On topic, I really think the GOP has put another feather in their cap of hypocrisy. After Gore v. Bush, where they argued it was definitely very important to resolve this ASAP, faster, faster, faster, for the good of the nation, we're now left with... um... well, apparently drag it out as long as possible.
IMO if the memorial service hadn't been turned into a political rally, he would have had a tougher time.He would have even lost to Mondale, had there been two more weeks to campaign.

I was there, it was embarrassing.
The chairman of the Minnesota Republican Party called Thursday for a massive, eleventh-hour investigation into allegations of illegal voting by felons in the state's bitterly contested 2008 Senate election.
The move comes on the heels of a report by a conservative watchdog group that the number of illegal votes greatly exceeded the 312-vote margin that made Al Franken a U.S. senator -- and barely two months before the records will be destroyed.

Referring to Minnesota Majority, which conducted the voting study, Pawlenty said: “They seem to have found credible evidence that many felons who are not supposed to be voting actually voted in the Franken-Coleman election. I suspect they favored Al Franken. I don’t know that, but if that turned out to be true, they may have flipped the election.”

McGrath said Minnesota Majority's survey found that 2,800 felons voted in the election. But he said he expected the final number to come out somewhere near 1,000 as investigators, with access to non-public databases and other information, separate out “false positive” names.
So far the investigation has found 15 felons who illegally voted. That is nowhere near enough to turn the election. If we extrapolate their success rate (50%) investigation to the full data set we get: (180)*0.5 + 15 from Hennepin county and 216*(0.5) = 108 from Ramsay county for a grand total of 213."We received about 480 names from Minnesota Majority," Ramsey County's lead prosecutor Phil Carruthers told KARE Wednesday, "About 270 were clearly inaccurate and were rejected right from the get-go.
He said a quick review revealed the names and birthdates didn't match, or that the felons in question were no longer barred from voting.
"They were ruled out usually because they had the wrong identity of a person," Carruthers explained, "Or because the person no longer was on probation, and thus their civil rights had been restored.""We're going to continue to investigate 180 other complaints but we're not talking about a huge number of actual cases. And of that 30 [that they found were accurate so far] about half of them were registration only, they didn't actually vote."
Hennepin County's probe
In Hennepin County the pattern has been much the same. Of 451 names submitted by Minnesota Majority, 235 have been ruled out for prosecution while 216 are under review. Proving such cases is a time-intensive effort, according to Pat Diamond, a deputy county attorney.

I know, you're Just Asking Questions.I suspect that Pawlenty fellates goats. Could be wrong. Who knows?

Pawlenty fellates goats?
The use of the question mark (or Cavuto Mark) makes everything ok.
Here's the keys to the story:

Yes, I have no doubt that all these groups are doing their level best to overturn the results of what is possibly the most closely scrutinized vote in history.

My favorite Fox News way of making the accusation while pretending it's not them making it: Some say Pawlenty makes sweet love to goats under the full moon. Ann Coulter will join us to discuss the allegation.
An ingeneous use of the Cavuto Mark, but not one he would approve of.Headscratcher4 said:You mean like: Fox News? See, I turned "news" into a question.
