so i'm somewhat new to all this, but i'm just wondering, are people in the arts kind of mutually exclusive to skepticism? or is it just that it draws more people who are in the sciences (and all you MAGICIANS heh) and those areas and those people tend to stay away from art? i mean i know there are musicians like george hrab and the guy who made the andrew wakefield comic, but i'm starting to feel like a weirdo (i have an art and science background and am a medical illustrator).

Lots of talent here.
Maybe I'll get the balls to post some of mine.
I posted my crap... you have to post yours.
I'm a skeptic and I'm very much into music - I don't find them mutually exclusive at all!
I'm not sure I would consider myself an artist, but I make music from time to time. Here's a not very serious project a friend and I work with when there's time: www.myspace.com/freudianslipswe
The last couple of months I've started something more serious with another friend, and we have some songs soon to be recorded, but nothing on tape yet.

All my music is available here, in various folders:

My latest piece, with texts by Blobru and spoken by 'K from Jersey'--neither of whom I've met in the flesh--is called Family Resemblance, and is here (page 2 of same place--see 'Pages' selector at top or bottom of page)
http://www.box.net/shared/m37jhti1og#/shared/m37jhti1og/2/17990454
the file is called 'fam res 6.309.mp3' and the extended version is called 'Roots of Truth.mp3'

A collection of sound collages, compositions, guitar, field recordings and memorabilia is in the folder 'Sidewalks of Brookline'

A set of logy limerance 12-tone piano pieces are in the folder
'You're Not There' --what Blobru has referred to as sounding like 'drunken cadenzas'.

my Science Documentary/Educational scoring (done in the 90's) is here under 'Scoring' --these tend to be short, tinkly, cheerful parodies of different styles

some more substantial, worked-out pieces can be heard in 'Five Sample-based Pieces' folder,
http://www.box.net/shared/m37jhti1og#/shared/m37jhti1og/1/21725072
and
in the 'Four Pieces' folder
http://www.box.net/shared/m37jhti1og#/shared/m37jhti1og/1/21730079
in the 'Microtonal Exercises' folder are some jams, tests, and a few worked out compositions including 'microtonal study in 7.mp3'

The paper about certain types of 12-tone series called MOFS (multiple order function series) finally came out and is listed here, although you have to buy it, sadly.

early versions of the paper can be found in the 'Stuff' folder under the name 'Morgan Mofs 5.3 doc', etc.
