I love Dr. Nancy Snyderman of NBC

The excess deaths due to AMI were in comparison to celecoxib, presumably in order to remove the effects of lives-saved due to Vioxx's use. Since the excess incidence of serious gastrointestinal events in the NSAID group exceeds the excess incidence of AMI in the rofecoxib group (2 to 3 times more serious GI events), patients overall were still better off taking rofecoxib. It may not have been withdrawn if an arguably safer alternative was not available.

Linda

So what you're saying is the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

Well, it made me laugh

Here is the data from the rofecoxib, celecoxib and other NSAID GI bleeding paper:
Relative to celecoxib, significantly higher risks of upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage were observed for non-selective NSAIDs (4.4 (2.3 to 8.5)), diclofenac plus misoprostol (3.2 (1.6 to 6.5)), and rofecoxib (1.9 (1.2 to 2.8)). Relative to rofecoxib, non-selective NSAID users were at significantly higher risk of upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage (1.9 (1.0 to 3.5)).

Here is the graph from the rofecoxib, celecoxib and other NSAID GI bleeding paper:

medical establishment TOLD us over and over again, that if you believed there was mercury in the fillings, or the vaccines, that we were conspiracy theorists, kooks, nuts, tin-foil-hat wearing momma's boy living in the basement... MORE LIES
The has to be the stupidest thing I have read in a while. The government hid the mercury in the fillings by calling it the exact same name that is used to denote an alloy that contains mercury in it. Its called dental amalgam. Amalgam is the technical term for an alloy containing mercury.

It was pills made from goat's milk....
Well yes, but I wasn't going to try and summarise your (excellent) thread so I went with "vaccine". He can read the details himself, in the unlikely event he's so inclined.

Wakefield wanted to prove that the standard vaccine was harmful. He had a good reason for this. He himself had taken out a patent on a quack preparation made from goat's milk that he fondly imagined he could sell instead of vaccines. His first idea was that MMR caused Crohn's disease, but even he had to admit there was no evidence for that.

I hadn't heard this. Do you have more information?

Why people are having troubles staying on topic is beyond my control, so don't blame me, because someone redirects and distorts what I say, why reply to a bunch of blabbering idiots?
Keep it civil, please.

When I type, people tend to see words that aren't there and contexts that were not intended, so show me some people that can stay on topic, and not dodge issues brought up, or denying what I'm saying (that toxic chemicals exist in vaccines that shouldn't be there, sure there are toxic chemicals in the environment, and we can't keep all those out, but I can sure as hell.. say NO to deadly vaccines
Except you have yet to prove they actually are deadly.

I.... KNOW that WATER itself, is not toxic, but if you want to be an idiot, go ahead and distort and redirect this TOXIC CHEMICAL IN MEDICINE.. into "hey if you drink enough water its toxic" umm NOOOOOO!!!! You can be INTOXICATED by drinking too much water, but WHO DOES THAT?! IDIOTS.. so.. I'm not concerned about what IDIOTS do with water, is up to them, don't be an idiot and don't take your IDIOT talking points to a discussion about DRUG PUSHERS and the DRUGS they PUSH!
What I'm getting out of your rant is that you agree water is toxic if drunk in sufficient quantities. Excellent, we're making progress:). Now apply that logic to vaccines. Is it not theoretically possible that certain substances, which we typically view as dangerous, are not dangerous when given in small enough amounts? I believe someone pointed out to you in this thread that apple seeds contain cyanide, yet no one has died from cyanide poisoning from eating apple seeds, have they?

Now...

medical establishment TOLD us there was no mercury... LIE

medical establishment TOLD us they took it out... LIE

medical establishment, instead of taking it out, TOLD us that its now good for us.... LIE

medical establishment TOLD us for decades that there was no mercury in silver fillings... LIE

medical establishment TOLD us for decades that mercury was safe in the fillings... LIE

medical establishment TOLD us over and over again, that if you believed there was mercury in the fillings, or the vaccines, that we were conspiracy theorists, kooks, nuts, tin-foil-hat wearing momma's boy living in the basement... MORE LIES
When did they tell anyone this? Source?

medical establishment TOLD us that Gardasil was safe... its killed over 30(last time I checked.. last year) women so far, how many more haven't we heard about yet? and they're still getting on Television claiming that this will prevent cancer, and yet there's many studies done by the manufacturer, in the insert that comes with the vaccine, mentions.

medical establishment TOLD us Vioxx was safe.. meanwhile it killed over 55,000 Americans.. more than the Vietnam War, and it was approved again!
This is a sceptics' forum. Throwing numbers at us like that isn't going to work, for reasons we have already explained.

meanwhile doctors like Dr. Wakefield that DOES the studies that finds there's major problems with these vaccines and other drugs, then the ESTABLISHMENT PIMPS decide to go after him, not because he's a "quack" but because if they don't they could lose BILLIONS, if not TRILLIONS of dollars(over decades) pushing petroleum pills and vaccines onto us!
Mr. Wakefield. He was struck off recently. Oh, and can you prove any of those allegations?

You want to live in a world that the only answer your doctor can give you, is in a prescription.. then you go live in that world.
Strawman.

Leave me to my herbs that come from the earth, not some synthetic pills and animal genetics in my blood.. EFF that!
Appeal to nature. For those interested, I made a thread some time back in which I listed various herbal remedies and their side-effects.

Here's the original patent appication for the goat's-milk pills.

http://briandeer.com/wakefield/vaccine-patent.htm

Look at the actual typescript - the references to Crohn's disease are there from the start. According to Deer, Wakefield's first anti-MMR papers were about Crohn's, but he couldn't prove a link. However the papers were noticed by Barr, the lawyer who was looking for ammunition in his own ambulance-chasing crusade against MMR (originally fuelled by the fact that an early strain of the mumps component caused a sterile meningitis).

Barr contacted Wakefield and commissioned him to find evidence that MMR was dangerous. Instead of looking at the mumps and the meningitis, Wakefield continued on his previous line of enquiry as regards measles and gut pathology. I suppose when your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

It proved easier to get permission to do all these invasive tests on mentally handicapped children. And the rest, you know about.
