Amanda Knox guilty - all because of a cartwheel

If the killer had burned the house down there would have been very little evidence at all and perhaps none of them would be in prison.

You and I are so nasty because that was my solution, too.

If Laura was questioned six times then she should have retained a lawyer. I don't know that she didn't since she worked at a law office. It's not really important but she'd have to know something was wrong having been asked back five more times.

Maybe I am just more paranoid than the average person.

You know 1 thing I would luv to see Amanda Knox do in her appeal trial is dress appropriately! In my opinion, though she might have thought it would show her as being carefree and innocent, she was showing disrespect for the court in her choice of clothing at her trial for murder...

From a street person's point of view, Amanda Knox does not appear whatsoever to be "hard", she is simply a college age gal, living away from her parents while overseas, studying, working, dating, drinking, experimenting with pot, and her sexuality. In other words, simply finding herself.
There is KNOW WAY, in my opinion, that any "hard" core street sauvy person, who was involved in a murder, their first one at that, would EVER freely try to help the cops, day after day, WITHOUT an attorney. Capiche? :)

Of course, you are correct, RWVBWL.

While I can't remember what evidence was provided, I am positive that it has been stated as a fact more than once that she did have a lawyer with her. But then as you say, if she worked for a law firm, perhaps that's not a huge surprise.

Laura and Filomena both retained lawyers right away. Apparently they had an inkling of what might be in store for them if they didn't.

Opps,
I mean NO WAY!
Sorry!

Your typical low-level street dealer often has his lawyer on speed dial on his phone. These young adults didn't have a clue.

By the way, "finding yourself" doesn't always have to include rape pranks, throwing out-of-control parties, ditching a job your uncle got you as a favour, and murdering your roommates.

Or they work for a law firm (this is right isn't it?) and either we more were of a mindset that it was always good to have a lawyer with you when being interviewed about the murder of your housemate, or were advised by people from their work to do so.

Oh my gosh, I just realized I graduated!!!

Thanks, RWVBWL! I am off to work, under our overcast Seattle skies. It actually snowed in some areas around here yesterday -- on May 4th Brrr!

Have fun in the sun!

I see no evidence here of a cry for help.

So you're looking at it as if they asked Amanda who the test message was to, and when she said she couldn't remember, they asked her who she was protecting.

I agree that is a possibility. But maybe one of Amanda's other supporters will come along and straighten me out.

Oh, I see. I wasn't thinking of that as a cry for help, but I can see how it might be interpreted that way.

From Metro:
Rudy Guede: I saw Foxy Knoxy flee the murder scene.
A man convicted of killing British student Meredith Kercher has told a court he heard her argue with murder suspect Amanda Knox just minutes before she was found dead.

Rudy Guede, 22, is appealing his conviction for years for Meredith's murder and sexual assault for which he was sentenced to 30 tears.

The Ivory coast national said he saw Knox's "silhouette" running away from their Perugia house after he found the British student dying.

Guede added that he had "not raped or killed" Meredith, 21, but apologised to her family for not doing enough to save her when he found her semi naked and bleeding to death from a knife wound to the throat.

Knox, 22, and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 25, remain on trial for the murder of Meredith.

In a statement to the appeal court in Perugia, Italy, Guede described how he had met Meredith at a Halloween party in October 2007.

The following day he had gone to her house she shared with Knox and they began kissing and getting undressed - but they decided not to have sex.

Guede added Meredith had complained of cash being missing and had blamed Knox, saying she said: "My money, my money. I can't stand her."

He then told the court how he had gone into the bathroom, heard the doorbell and then put on his iPod while using the toilet but after a few minutes he had heard shouting between two women.

He said: "I heard the voices of Amanda and Meredith. They were discussing the missing money.

"I heard Meredith say: 'We need to talk.'

"Then I heard a loud scream. It was above the volume of the music. I was worried, it was so loud.

He said that at his appeal but not at his trial? This is unusual.

Would be nice to have the whole thing in quotations. How did he identify Amanda only by her silhouette?

Prosecutors say Kercher, 21, was killed on November 1, 2007 during what began as a sex game.

"I went into corridor and looking out of the window saw going away the outline of Amanda Knox.

He added he then fetched some towels to help Meredith who was bleeding heavily from her throat.
