Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

True, but we at this time don't know where that atom that began to expand faster than the speed of light for a very short time say some astrophysicists came from. Was it always there, or perhaps what was left of a previous universe.
It wasn't an atom, and I'm talking about a so-called god.

The mystery lays in black holes I think. Where does all the matter swallowed up by these B/H go?

Amb,
That's my personal pet unsupported theory. The pinched-off of spacetime @ the singularity, does not terminate/cease to exist, it is just goes to, or changes to ????<dragons>

The mass falling into this vortex of s.t., large a amounts of energy is suddenly "caught" in a bubble of s.t., which due to q.m., we know we cannot exclude, nor rule it out as a possibility.

Aaaannyway....

I would just like to add that, as a lurker from the very first post of this thread, I will miss the strange comfort of being able to check in every few hours, every day, for the new ways a mind could mangle/warp both words and reality. Even more importantly, (otherwise, it would just be another crazy person rambling on the internet), the point by point rebuttals, etc.

If it's truly over, thanks everyone for all the effort and humor, it's been fun.

Where it is, in the black whole and most likely isn't matter anymore, but the mass is still there seeing that the gravity is still there.

Is there any reasons to believe that this thread is going to get closed?
I guess, if the mods wanted to close it, they would have done when they realized that no good evidence would be forthcoming and that the threads was not going anywhere... So, half-way through the first page...

Are tautologies kind of like great big tortoises? Maybe I should get some and see how they go with the appeals to authority in the garden.

I think they would look lovely together, especially with the fairies that all good gardens should have at the bottom!

My worry is, what if they go after the flowers?

ETA: the tautologies, I mean - not the fairies.

Get some of these to keep an eye on them:

Joobz you're hopeless.

On second thought, I retract this statement, who am I to say anyone is hopeless. According to Christianity that is God's decision not mine. If the Jew, Saul, who persecuted Christians, and most likely approved of the stoning death of Stephen, can become Paul, probably the greatest Christian evangelist who ever lived, then certainly anyone can freely decide to follow Christianity regardless of their past.

So... the only way of being worthy (hopeless = no hope of doing anything worthy) is by converting to Christianity?

Thank you for that.

Now, would you mind answering this question?
Well I'm sure Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama, probably never read post 11054 but something convinced them.
Convinced them of what?

Convinced them of this belief

Quote from Barach Obama:

"I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life. But most importantly, I believe in the example that Jesus set by feeding the hungry and healing the sick and always prioritizing the least of these over the powerful.

Aside from showing that he doesn't use reason to reach his conclusions, what is that supposed to prove ?

Well he couldn't say the opposite could he? You have to spout that kind of guff to get elected in the States.Whether he actually believes it or not is another matter.

That's a big leap in believing the N/T writers told the truth by what Obama believes or not.

Paul was actually writing Fear and Loathing in Damascus? That explains a lot. Thanks for pointing that out six7s! :D
