Is it even possible to be the president and NOT be burned in effigy by someone?

I think it should be possible. This can be achieved by trying to do nothing when in office. You will be considered a bad president, and everyone will dislike you. However, no one will hate you.
And there can't be any ongoing conflicts that the country is involved with.
And you can't be a Republican. And probably not black. And you have to be vaguely religious without really being religious enough to piss off any other religious groups.
Burning an effigy is not a call for assassination.

Doing nothing IS doing something.
For example, you wouldn't be ending policies that piss people off. Also, by not vetoing bills as they come to you, you be acting as an arm of Congress.

OMG! I'm So sorry! I had no idea I was asking you to back up your claims! How dare I ask for evidence an not take you at your word!?!?!
New user name, same avoidance of topics that he himself starts?Parky (aka Thunder), I'm still waiting for either links to your protests to those or similar events, or a through explanation why is this case different. It's not like you weren't here you know

Repeating that everything Obama said was not true is not backing up your claims.I did back up my claims.
Nope. That's one of the reasons I'm a college professor when I'm not acting now.In school, when asked to read the whole instruction before taking the test, did you fail that assignment?
You didn't say what you said he said. You said what he said was not true and never backed up what you said.If you read my whole post instead of taking me out of context AGAIN you would see I posted that video of Obama in Ciro where he said exactly what I said he said.
Try to focus here Bill.Since I gave you what your asked for, your rantings on a sentence by sentence basis makes you look... I don't know... like you have a short attention span
YOU brought it up. YOU back it up. Not by posting a video and saying that proves it. Show how everything he said was not true.Too bad everything he said was not true.

So you are agaiinst free speech and political opposition.anyone in the USA who burned Bush in effigy, should have been questioned by the Secret Service.
any foreign nation that allows their people to burn our President in effigy, is not a true friend of the USA.
i pray the Israeli police arrest any such folks promptly. i would expect the same thing from Britain, France, Germany, Ireland, Canada, etc..

I don't need the SCOTUS to tell me that isn't a threat.I personally consider burning or hanging someone in effigy to be a violent threat. But if the SCOTUS disagrees with me, that is fine.
You would lose that bet. In fact, I have never reported anyone for anything here. I value free speech, much more than this forum's admins and you do.I bet, that if I posted a cartoon of a man labeled "Wildcat", being burned in effigy, you would report it as a personal attack.
