Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

What is your source that 90% of scholars take Jesus' existence as the default position?

Let me ask you this: What percentage of biblical scholars do you imagine did NOT take Jesus' existence as the default position?

Words are not miracles.
Actually they can be more powerful than miracles. There is ample evidence that the NT has changed thousands of lives for the better.

And some say that our Western Civilization would be quite different and much worse if Christ never came. On second thought some have said that there might not even be a Western Civilization if Christ never came. Read the Book "What if Jesus had never been born". It is actually quite scary what might have been if Christ was never born.

Like how much better off teh Indians are because of Christianity?

Ever notice how, right when a bit has gotten fully devloped, here he come to ruin it with his off-topic, no information, attack the messenger, reputation ruining posts? I think he's a plant from the mods.

You have a very low standard for "miracles".

Of course there were some atrocities on both sides. And tribal warfare was in existence long before the Europeans came.

Here is a site that lists some of the ways we are better off because Christ came. And thus this increases the likelihood the NT writers were telling the truth because it doesn't make sense for something that was made up by liars and deceivers to have this kind of positive effect on the world

I would like the role of Brian.
Or maybe one of the other prophets at the time.
Then I can make my own lines without need for any scholarly qualifications.

No.

The native americans conquered, enslaved and decimated the christians?

Who knew?

I could play some kind of logical fallacy.

Not the 'No true Scotsman', though, I have nice legs, for sure, and would look nice in a kilt, but it's a minor role.

Nah, the real star would be the 'Appeal to authority' but then, I assume, I'd have to wear some king of military uniform, and I don't really have a cosplay budget. And I don't think I could pull out a dominatrix garb...

We're going to need someone to play circular reasoning as well. That'll be a huge role.

Almost all fact?
So you admit you posted false statements?
Interesting....

you know another fact? That Jesus condoned the beating of bond Servants (aka slaves).
Oh, c'mon joobz, stop pickining on Jesus. Poor guy. I mean you ever see a boy trying to live up to the reputation of his father? Try being God's son. Talk about inferiority complex. God allowed for slaves, so Jesus had to allow slaves. He even went further by making rules on how to treat them.

Hrm...that's almost love interest level. A Hepburn to DOC's Tracey - but in a Jonathan Waters film sorta way.

And changed millions for the shorter...

Some say that DC9 full of souls were dive bombed into Hawaii's volcanoes...
A lot of people write scary/silly science-fiction...

And teh Indians gave the Noble Christians pox ridden blankets.

Well; evidences strongly suggest that they gave them Syphilis.
Blankets (and other beddings) were even probably involved then too...

I'm as Amero-centric as they come, but I read "Indians" as people from India. Outside of Goa, there aren't a lot of Christians in India. Can you please tell us how the billion or so non-Christian Indians are better off due to Christianity?

Thanks.
