Next up, 13,000. 1,000 posts for everyone at the last supper.
We have a First Supper down here.

Greetings!

It's time again for our First Supper in the south part of the county. This Friday, April 2, we will be meeting at Kamado's Japanese Seafood Buffet, at 2402 N. University Dr, in Pembroke Pines. It is just south of the corner of University and Sheridan Rd., about five miles south of I-595.

:) :) :)

I missed all the fun I started. :(

Impressive 12,000th post Akhenaten.

:D

DOC can get back to twirling in circles.

Thank you. I was considering an apostle-based theme for the twelve-thousandtieth post but in the end the thread produced a sudden burst of speed and I ran out of time before divine inspiration kicked in.

I'll start immediately on some ideas for a last supper motif for #13000.

It's good to have a purpose in life. DOC could learn something from us, if only he chose to.

Speaking of teh Last Supper™, we do have this already, an oldie but a goodie:

Maybe the greatest miracle are the words in the New Testament and they are with us every day. Thomas Jefferson didn't cut out nearly 900 verses of it with a razor just for the heck of it.

DOC do you have any words or thoughts of your own?

So it's OK if we just cut out the parts of the bible that we like? I'm surprised that you would agree with such mutilation of Gods' Word.

If only 12,000 was the number of the beast rather than 666, then we'd know for sure why we know that the New Testament writers told the truth...

1200/2 + 66 = 666!!!!

Math itself tells us why this thread is evidence for why we know that the NT writers told the truth.

I heard that there is soon to be a TV series about Evidence for why we know the N/T writers were telling the truth. I've been asked to supply the food for the cast and crew.
This thread will be used as the script. We now need some actors to fill the role of the characters. DOC is to play himself. If you guys wish to be involved, please show your interest in any of the roles up for grabs. :D

Baggsy I play Hokulele. I am the wrong sex and 2 foot taller than her but I really fancy 3 weeks filming in Hawaii.

I wouldn't sweat a few little details like that, given that my own heart's desire is to play a rôle set 1500 years before the NT writers even wrote the script.

Which brings up something I've been meaning to ask DOC.

Can we look into some evidence for why we know the Old Testament writers told the truth?

There probably isn't hella more evidence than there is for the NT guff, but it's a really ripping yarn.
