H.a.a.r.p

I have noticed that the thought processes of people tend to differ a lot across culture and trades. So if one write on a diverse international forum it becomes even more important to express ones thoughts clearly. People are not as able to follow your thinking and guess what you mean, as they are in your own circles.

I can think of one example involving JimBenArm.
On the subject of ID-Kitty I remarked, rather briefly, how it would be more convenient for the police if all citizens were numbered from birth.
As he was not familiar with my country (we are numbered), he took it as some paranoid rant and responded in kind.

A good spell checker helps too, 5 hits in this post alone. :o

Interestingly, educated people who learn English as a second or third language from their native language are extremely careful to speak and write correctly.
Well my wife is Japanese and learnt English as a second language and she has zero interest in punctuation and spelling but can get her point across well enough..

There are a lot of what I would term "complete idiots" on this website and in society in general that have a misguided view on what is important in this world.

So then, how do we tell which is which, gerg?
Thin-skinned and a chip on your shoulder Akhenaten???!!!

No skin at all and chips everywhere.

Your point?

Here's a present for you:

The one you're using must be wearing down a bit by now.

Have a nice day, matey.

"well enough" won't describe enough very well.
It leaves too much information as "incomplete".

How strange: I get Akhenaten's looking-glass reference, but I genuinely have no idea what Rory's talking about.
not most do when i go talk about this stuff, im not from this world ;) and cant say what i really mean, but give you an idea and let you make your own mind up in a sense. I wish i was as cool as you, but i dont lie, im not a snitch im bitch made.

ahhh back to the 'i dont understand what you saying'.. its pretty easy, work it out.. its pretty easy, nothing like a brain teaser.

Evidence will be given when they slip up, that is if they dont kill the person before it gets leaked.
Never said i was an anti-vaxxer, it was the same type of question i was asked, using my imagination i spose.. never excepted a serious reply, like he didn't.

Although since you asked and for clarification, i havent had a vaccine in over 15 years, i may get the cold or flu once a yr. However i fight it off with my immune system and it doesnt come back till a new strain is around.

Any logical reason why you would believe the indicated statement?

Are you saying you know of evidence but refuse to reveal it or that it has yet to become evident because "they" have yet to slip up?

In any event, who are "they" and "the person"?

See how being clear might help?

Another mind unread.

You're an alien??? :eye-poppi :jaw-dropp

Could you be so kind as to post a star map of the region of space your world is located in. :p

Let me try: I think the first part means:

*Most people do not understand my points when I discuss these issues*

If that is correct then you have two sensible options and one silly one:

Do something about it

Shut up

Carry on as you are

Can you spot the silly one?

My guess is that he knows exactly which is the silly choice, but goes with it anyway, thus taking it to another level altogether.

The reason I think this is that my original post looked like this:

How strange: I get Akhenaten's looking-glass reference, but I genuinely have no idea what Rory's talking about.

And yet somehow he seems to think he's going to be able to tell us things about HAARP that for some reason we've been unable to see.

Killing fog...sounds like something I read. Steven King The Mist. Yup! The Mist, Google aids the memory fog again, oh my aching puns.

I also have problems with spelling and grammar. I'm slightly Autistic, thus came to the joys of reading and writing a fair bit later than my peers. As my brain will always be wired slightly different, I have to use different means to 'know' the keys to the puzzle to the written word. Of course, I do cheat (spell checkers, Google when Firefox flops). Grammar, for the most part, my grammar doesn't stink as hard as many peoples', and it only falls afoul of a true grammar nazi once in a while.:boxedin:

You ought to be very proud of your accomplishment. :)

I think what the gerg's and rorylee's of the world of the world consistently fail to realise is that a few slips of the fingers will barely draw a comment, but there are at least these three major failings that most certainly will:

1. Consistently posting utter rubbish.

eg. "ahhh back to the 'i dont understand what you saying'.. its pretty easy, work it out.. its pretty easy, nothing like a brain teaser."
That's gibberish, rorylee, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.

2. Continuing to make the same error no matter how many times it's pointed out.

eg. "ahhh back to the 'i dont understand what you saying'.. its pretty easy, work it out.. its pretty easy, nothing like a brain teaser."

Yes, it's the same line as the previous example, but just look at it. Despite the fact that it's obvious that rorylee's apostrophe key works, given that he's used it twice, he seems to think it's cool or trendy or something to eschew its use in the appropriate places. I imagine his response to this would be "well so what.. you got the gist didn't you" Apparently the fact is lost on him that only people far more literate than himself are able to compensate for his being apostrophically challenged and he is not, as he chooses to believe, communicating effectively at all.

3. Wearing semi-literacy as some kind of badge of honour.

eg. "There are a lot of what I would term "intellectual snobs" on this website . . ."
The pot calling the kettle blak, and thinking itself clever for doing so.

And yet rorylee pretended that it looked like this:

1. Consistently posting utter rubbish.

2. Continuing to make the same error no matter how many times it's pointed out.

In other words, when put in the position of having the answer staring him in the face, he simply edits it so he doesn't have to see it.

It's so blatantly dishonest that you'd think the rules of the Forum would proscribe doing such a thing.

Oh, wait . . .

How do you make one understand, when one is blind?

How do you make one understand, when one is blind?

You provide a standardized, self-consistent set of symbols.
Anne Sullivan did this for Helen Keller, and it worked pretty well, even though Helen was both blind and deaf.
Had Anne just made random gestures on Helen's hand -- whatever felt good at the moment -- Helen could never have made the connections required to communicate.

If you desire to communicate, communicate. If not, don't complain.

A simple "No." would have sufficed.

u gaise are so close-eyed

How do you make one understand, when one is blind?
Depends on what you want him to understand. Often, speech suffices. But will a blind man ever understand what blue looks like?

In this thread, you behave like a blind man, taking shots at what blue really is. You will never ever guess it, blind man.

(Open your eyes, I'm sure you have them!)

I don't know what blue is, but I know it caused a tsunami in 2004, through the use of the ISS.

A bit of mud and water and he will see.
