Amanda Knox guilty - all because of a cartwheel

I'm liking hostile aliens more and more. I mean, they've got invisibility, matter transfer, teleportation, their malignant, evil intentions towards humanity are common knowledge, as is their fascination for attractive young girls. The whole thing fits together.

Prove me wrong. Ask Yahoo!

ETA: I forgot mind control. That even explains the injected memories.

Several pages ago, I pointed out the clear image of the Roswell-type alien in the rotated bathroom photo.

No doubt Whitley Streiber will soon be writing his own bestseller on the case.

Actually, there is something useful which we can glean from this surprising comment, which is that beyond the contamination argument (DNA on winged dust), there is a recognition that that is Raffaele's fully fledged DNA, and that he got it there through intimate contact with the person wearing the bra.

Indeed. The defense's theory is contamination. Are defenders of AK and RS now dropping that idea in favor of bra swapping? I mean they can't have it both ways, either that was RS's DNA on the bra strap or it wasn't.

It's not a phobia, it's just gross. Dan thinks that women only have one bra, do you?

Your feeling that wearing a laundered bra is gross sounds like it was derived from childhood theories about cooties rather than a rational and scientific evaluation by an adult.

As to the second point, Dan O.'s argument involved Meredith's bras all being either dirty or wet because the laundry didn't finish drying. Claiming that he thinks women only have one bra is a straw man.

The Realm of Marriott must currently be in chaos, what with the Nadeau book and the Massei report.

Up until a couple of pages ago, Halides was still defending the Elizabeth "Libby" Johnson report, which explained away the bra clasp DNA profile of Raffaele as contamination.

At that point, I got swiftly corrected when I referred to "theoretical" contamination. It was as much a reality as the sky is blue.
. . . . . .

Now Dan O. and wingman Kestrel are saying that the test is correct (just that the world doesn't understand how Raffaele's DNA got there, in a very innocent way, of course, through bra swapping)

How often have you worn your friends' underwear, then?

In a rational and adult way, would you swap your Fruit-of-the-Loom cotten briefs with your bowling buddy?

Imagined conversation:

Him1: I just love your grey briefs with the fly, let me try them out ...

Him2: And your red boxers are so hot! Let me give them a spin with the little lady, and I'll tell you how it goes.

Evidence that Amanda had a clean bra in the apartment that day? Please present scientific evidence that bra sharing among roommates is widespread (or even common).

Evidence that all of Meredith's bras were in the wash?

You have nothing but RS's lies. Why do you defend them when even the defense team doesn't buy this garbage? They went with the contamination theory. Do you not agree with them?

Their reply, Alt+F4, is that the legal defence posture has little to do with (and can even be contradictory to) the media posture.

For example, even as Amanda testified in an Italian courtroom that she knew Rudy, that they had been together in a small gathering in the boys flat, and that they had smoked marijuana, Paul Ciolino was broadcasting on CBS to a USA audience that Amanda had "never set eyes" on Rudy, didn't know him at all.

Another example, Amanda testifying and writing about how the use of marijuana impaired her memory, when her mother stated on a BBC broadcast that drugs had nothing to do with that night.

Another example, FOA trying to paint the couple as having a shared, common alibi, when Raffaele's most recent, official alibi (as stated in early 2008 to the Supreme Court) is that it's erroneous to believe that they were together.

Another example, FOA talking about Amanda getting slapped around, while her lawyers said it didn't happen (until - coinciding with a visit by her stepfather to Perugia - Amanda got up in court and made a spontaneous statement, about a physical hit).

According to research*, the average British woman owns 15 bras, whereas the average American woman owns only 6 bras.

With this in mind, perhaps Dan_O should have suggested that that Amanda was wearing Meredith's bra.

*Less than scientific, I should imagine.

I don't understand how it's helpful to AK and RS's upcoming appeal to contradict what their defense teams presented at trial.

Contamination of the bra clasp at either the crime scene or the lab is a thousand times more plausible than nonsense about bra sharing of which there is zero evidence of.

Doesn't it make more sense to just attribute RS's father's statement about bra sharing as him simply being confused or distraught?

It almost seems like Amanda's supports want her to lose her appeal.

As an American woman, I'd say that is about right. I have about six bras and you want to know what's on all of them? My DNA. Proponents of this bra sharing nonsene seem to have no explaination as to why Amanda's DNA wasn't found on the bra.

Conspiracy theories are thataway! --------> :D

ETA I am a British woman and I own about fifteen bras (I think there are actually 18 in my drawer), none of which I share with anyone.

I find it very unlikely that one flatmate would wear the bra of another (aside from the fact it is a bit creepy). It's not like borrowing a t-shirt - an ill fitting bra (even in the "right" size) is very uncomfortable, and the chances they would have been the same size must be fairly small. There are two dimensions that need to match in order for the bra to come close to fitting - back size and cup size.

I even have different bras for different times of the month, because of slight changes in how they fit me during different parts of my cycle. I have others that I can't wear at the moment because if i lose or gain a couple of pounds they don't fit me any more.

I think it's more of a "throw everything against the wall and hope something sticks" sort of stratgedy. Unfortunately defending theories that have no evidence to back them up doesn't help Amanda at all.

And let's not forget the sexy ones. Note that it's only men that think that women share bras. Even Amanda Knox herself hasn't admitted to doing it (nor any of her college roommates).

FOA seems to be doing its best to build a sacrificial pyre. They aren't going to allow Amanda a step-down strategy.

They want to revel in the noise and publicity.

If the need arrises and my buddy has a freshly laundered pair in my size, why shouldn't I borrow a pair?

Try to answer that as a skeptic instead of a kid who still believes in cooties.

The argument that it wouldn't fit is valid. The argument that no woman would ever borrow freshly laundered underwear from a flatmate presumes that all women think exactly alike.

Now that the body wasn't moved hours after death after all according to the judges, I'd like to know if it was really Amanda's blood on the tap or was that another misinformation?
