Oh, so what's the game...we go back to articles weeks, months, years ago where they got something 'wrong' and post the list up of what they got wrong here? Is that the game, or did I get it wrong? I'm sure we could pack a very good list of media BS, especially that from US media if that's what we're playing? I mean, I can think of at least 8 to 10 great big whoppas from a certain Steve Shay alone. But then, it's you guys writing the rules with this game isn't it? So much good it's done you so far. So what are the rules...'slate the reporter as long as it's Barbie Nadeau'? Is that the game? If you have an enemy...smear them, is that how it works Charlie?

You say Nadeau cares about the truth. I'm pointing out a number of things she has written that show a disregard for the truth.

However, it strikes me as strange (oh, well maybe it's not all that strange after all), that on this site and others there is such an effort to discredit Nadeau.

Fulcanelli mentioned the bleach receipt supposedly collected from Sollecito's apartment, and claimed Nadeau as the source of this information, which she is. That is what began the discussion of what Nadeau has written and whether it is reliable.

I had not seen the Pisa story from the Daily Mail, and I thought I had collected them all.

I find it VERY hard to believe that the finding of this blonde hair in the murder room wouldn't be brought in as evidence and printed in all the papers were it true, especially considering just how much more evidence gets in Italy (not a value judgment).

This bit of evidence is mentioned on page 195 of the judges report:

As for those who had seemed formations reperta hair near the victim's body, look under the microscope had appeared to be of wool fibers and took no avail.

This case is turning into a real ewe done it.

What are the words she uses that indicates she got the diary from Knox's lawyers?

She didn't get it from Amanda's lawyers. Good lord. I think she got it from an Italian book about the case in which Amanda's writing was mis-translated in a way that changed its meaning. Here is what Amanda actually wrote in her diary:

Raffaele and I have used this knife to cook, and it's impossible that Meredith's DNA is on the knife because she's never been to Raffaele's apartment before. So unless Raffaele decided to get up after I fell asleep, grabbed said knife, went over to my house, used it to kill Meredith, came home, cleaned the blood off, rubbed my fingerprints all over it, put it away, then tucked himself back into bed, and then pretended really well the next couple of days, well, I just highly doubt all of that.

Emphasis is mine.

Hi Charlie.

I find it hard to believe that it was only in February 2009 (the timing of Nadeau's Daily Beast article) that FOA heard about the (supposed) entry in Amanda's prison diary stating that Raffaele could have done it, sneaking off to the cottage with the Double DNA Knife in hand.

That version of her dairy had been talked about for many months (a year) before that on all the sites.
=====================

Actually, I'm more interested to know if FOA will pursue Nick Pisa as diligently as Nadeau, because he seems to have been one of the first purveyors of this version of Amanda's diary to the English speaking world.

Will FOA update the http://www.friendsofamanda.org/fairness.html page? Actually, Nick's version of the diary is much more extensive than Nadeau's. It's a better and more complete example of the fairness issue, from the FOA point of view.

About what? Care to elaborate? Kermit has stated that anyone who is pro-Amanda has an agenda against Nadeau, but not Pisa. I've just shown how that is obviously false.

About your sudden eagerness to disassociate yourself from the FOA, while still lauding their values. Sort of like, wanting to follow the cause but not be tarred by it. Play it safe...cold feet.

No, at worst you've shown things she's mistaken about (if she is).

And you've yet to explain how this gets Amanda off on appeal. Is that the secret weapon 'Barbie Nadeau wasn't accurate!'? Does any of this mean they didn't kill Meredith Kercher? Why are you so afraid of Barbie Nadeau?

I think Barbie Nadeau's the least of your worries. And we both know it.

I'm wondering how you would know who she got it from, or did not. The one thing that's clear is that she didn't get it from you...as in such an event the text would have been shrunk so small she wouldn't have been able to read it.

Well, I think it's obvious I didn't say "anyone".

As for being careful not to necessarily mix "pro-Amanda" with FOA, I recognise that not all pro-Amanda persons are FOA.

The example you gave, http://freeamanda.livejournal.com/4077.html
is probably not the best one as an example of a "pro-Amanda" type. I hope that Amanda's family and friends reject the person who runs this site as someone who should be at the forefront of the fight to free Amanda.

The site is run by a certain Harry Wilkens, who writes poems with names like "Venereal Disease" or "The Day I Screwed Shirley Temple" ( http://www.the-hold.com/hwilkens.html )

He also has a Twitter site: https://twitter.com/FreeAmandaKnox

He has made very nasty posts about Meredith and her family.

Within seconds of a post being made on the PerugiaMurderFile site a few months ago, which consisted of a scatalogically pornographic image, Wilkens was crowing about the post on a pro-Amanda site.

He may be pro-Amanda, but FOA will hopefully never accept that sort of help in their ranks.

I was right - you are being "economical with the truth". Perhaps you have something you want to hide?

I've nothing to hide, other then the smug confidence the article exists and you'll find it if only you get off your arse and look for it yourself, instead of sitting lazily on a forum demanding everyone run around for you while you throw mud about. Try looking up her report that featured the lingerie shopping trip...just a tip ;)

Did Malkmus link to Harry Wilkens? Kermit, tell me it's not so....:eye-poppi
