"Beware the Paxemperi, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the joobz-joobz bird, and shun
The frumious kmortis!"

But only in the humor section. :D

Nietzsche: "God is dead!"
God: "Nietzsche is dead! (:p)
Buddha: "I'm stuck here with idiots, so this can't be Nirvana! Drats!"

[literary critic]That doesn't rhyme, and I don't think it scans.[/literary critic]
Wait! are you trying to say that catch/kmortis doesn't rhyme? What planet are you from?

You momentarily forgot which thread is, didn't you?

Next thing you'll be expecting evidence for why the NT etceteras eterera'd, etcetera . . .
Pfft! No kidding.

Speaking of which, isn't there supposed to be a point to this thread?

Guys, watch it! If I had asthma, I'd be having a serious attack right now! As I don't, I'm just laughing my ass off, so thanks...

So why do you bring it {prophecy} into a thread promising evidence?
What looks to be fulfilled prophecy is evidence but I don't say certain prophecies are proof. When Hoku says this:

"Matthew, however, reads the original prophecy literally and invents rodeo Jesus where he is supposedly riding both animals (although I doubt at the same time)."

which I reply to in this post:

http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=5717014#post5717014

she is implying she has proof to state this as a fact, which is not the case as I show in this post:

http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=4618777#post4618777

Her statement is just a skeptic theory but not a proof (that discounts all other possibilities) as she implies.

I never said it was proof, but it is evidence that Matthew was making stuff up to match OT prophecies.

That's just your opinion.

Hey, this "use DOC's arguments" game is kind of fun!

To the extent that the prophesy is proven it is only evidence that the prophesier prophesied correctly. It tells you nothing about the subject of the prophesy.

Imagine that I predict that you will go on to make 2000 posts in this thread. Whether you do will be a matter of fact and the evidence will be out there for all to check. However that does not mean that you will have provided any evidence that the NT writers told the truth. It only means that I correctly predicted that you would make 2000 posts.
