Zundel should never have been put in prison. His lawyer was locked up too, I think.
Locking people up for being wrong (or disagreeing with the accepted view) is something a fascist governent would do.
Also, it gives ammo to the Holocaust deniers ("the truth shouldn't need the law to protect it" etc.).
On a similar note, there was a thread started here a few weeks ago that said something like "Hitler never used the term "master race"". Now, I knew that was false, and that Hitler had said it more than once in Mein Kampf. However, seeing as I live in Germany at the moment, I could not go and buy a copy to prove it, because the book is banned here. I didn't want ot risk downloading it either, and you can get into trouble just for that.

But why ban a book that can prove a holly denier wrong? Why ban any book, for that matter.
