What about this crop circle?

Or maybe it is not the rain at all.
Those Venusian have it rather hot at home and may freeze to death if they were stomping around in a snow covered field trying to make a crop circle.

I'm strangely interested in the information that it's possible to make a crop circle in oilseed rape. Note that sometimes elections happen in June, and indeed the European elections are always in June.

I wonder how much it would cost?

Context. I was out campaigning in the 1994 Euro-elections, and we were struck by the amount of bright yellow rape in the fields. Someone commented that we could make a great crop circle in that if only we knew how.

The idea took off in a small way, but no farmer would give us permission to mess up a crop. We rather thought the pattern would have to be cut rather than stamped, due to the nature of the crop. In the end we got permission to lay black plastic over the crop, and some black plastic strips (sheeting). We had the advantage of a light aeroplane overflying our field, and walkie-talkie feedback from the plane about how it was looking, but the disadvantage of what felt like a force 9 gale coming in from the North Sea.

In the end we achieved a rather skewed logo, with half a dozen of us under the plastic hanging on for grim death. It lasted just long enough to be photographed from the plane, and the photo was published in the Sun the next day.

I developed a healthy respect for the circlemakers that day!

Ah, cunning. I was thrown off by the reference to it being a gale from the North Sea. Clearly Rolfe didn't want to say that, but was tricked into it by Loki.

The fact is that Colin Andrews, self proclaimed expert recons he can tell the difference between a Man Made crop circle and a Non Human Entity made one. If he really could, he would not have made that schoolboy mistake on live TV. No one had his arm up his back to make such a misguided statement.

I'm sure if you contacted circlemakers.org, they'd give you a price.
 
There was an article on crop circles in the Smithsonian in December. I mostly like this bit:

In croppy culture, common parlance is turned on its head. The word “genuine” usually implies that something has a single, identifiable origin, of established provenance. To the croppy it means the opposite: a “genuine” circle is of unknown provenance, or not man-made—a mystery, in other words. It follows that the man-made circle is a “hoax.”

This explains a lot about the mind-set of people like Limbo.

This also leads to this very curious usage of "anomaly" to refer to any observation made in a "genuine" crop circle with no comparison to a real (i.e. man-made or "hoax") crop circle.

And the absurd assertion that no one can reproduce these "anomalies" by mundane means despite evidence to the contrary.

I still say it's most similar to religious conviction.
 
I have to admit that I do not fully understand the special problems regarding oilseed rape. particularly messy/squishy? Someone please shed some light on that.

The problem might be that the stems are very thick and strong and takes some heavy stomping. I do not recall if they are tied together like peas.

circlemakers.org, does not mention any problems with it, guess they are good at it.:)

The main problems are the coarseness of the plant. It doesn't like bending. Until they started sowing the newer dwarf varieties it was a pain to work in 5 foot high plants. It stinks when it's it's in flower and you leave the field covered in yellow dust.

Apart from that (and the fact that all the stems have little branches that knot together) there's absolutely nothing difficult about it :)

The Nefilim that come here every 3600 years must have no experience with rain on Nibaru either, as their space ships and space ports obviously dissolve in the wet atmosphere of Earth, leaving no trace... but lotsa kids.

How did the trail lead here Limbo? I don't see many circlemakers round here. And any that might have had experiences like yours most likely wouldn't be found here. ;)
