Haitian earthquake was used as an excuse for US invasion

Wage Slavery is a pile of :rule10. This is because they aren't being coerced into taking up a job by the bosses.

Nice try on you giving your "brainwashed" paranoia. Anarchists these days practice the "paranoid style" of politics, about how some super secret cabal rules the world and how they are the only free people.

There are many countries where a person's job, if he is lucky enough to have one, is essentially all he will do for the rest of his life. The only developing countries where this is not true are the ones where multinational corporations have created a demand for production labor...people from families who have, say, done nothing but tan goat hides for generations, now have the option to work in a factory.

There they work long hours for little pay, but they are eager to do it as an alternative to working with rotting goat skins until they die.

The freedom of choice isn't as great as it is in the US, but it's better than it once was.

Right wing globalists understandably don't like this term as they prefer their style of politics to be window dressed in the best possible way!

Awesome. I'm now a Right Wing Globalist! Does this mean I get a complementary pass into the secret lair under a volcano?

This perhaps helps to distinguish between the type of 'slavery' typically imposed on people by multinationals and the small scale entrepreneurship encouraged within local communities.

Whoa there. How are the multinationals imposing "wage slavery" but the local businesses are not? When does "wage slavery" stop being "slavery?"

Don't we have a whole thread somewhere on "wage slavery?"

In a broader sense I would claim that even Western society imposes a wage slave culture on its subjects. i.e, people are 'conditioned' to keep up with the Jones' rather than to subsist, hence they become extremely subservient to corporate power known as the 'rat race'.

Yes, if only human nature were completely different. At the risk of turning this into a discussion about The Venus Project I will ask: do you really think our predilection towards "want" is instilled in is?

Many anarchists, socialists, and communists have condemned "wage slavery or "economic slavery", where workers are forced to choose between selling their labour and facing starvation, poverty or social stigma and a lack of prosperity.

What would you have different?

Are you a fan of Rumpelstiltskin?

Surely you're not that ill-read, are you?

When the USA invades a country (for whatever reason), it "destroys its infrastructure" and is evil and racist.

When the USA ignores a country, it "doesn't care about the poor people living there" and is evil and racist.

When the USA trades with a country and buys the stuff it manufactures, it "institutes wage slavery" and is evil and racist.

You just can't win with some folks.

When the USA ... "doesn't care about the poor people living there" and is evil and racist.

Not at all, it's when it does both of these together it is evil and racist, and that has been the charge with US foreign policy. As Donald Rumsfeld said, "we don't do nation building" perhaps at least he is honest!

the US economic elite doesn't want Haiti follow the Venezuelan/Cuban etc. model of development.

Say, are they anything like those evil illuminati lizards who run the international banks and control the string-pullers behind everything?

Yes, they're also related to the Masonic-Jew-Atheist-Satanists who control the string-pullers. :)

That's like saying, "The US car companies don't want Haiti to follow the Titanic/Hindenburg model of transportation".

Is that your way of denying that the US has an politically powerful economic elite?

If so, why are you denying it?
